I dropped by hoping to try a new brewery, but sadly found out that they no longer make their own beer. They do, however, have a large tap list and a comfortable bar. I found the staff friendly too, but I really can’t rate it any higher since it’s not really a brewery.
Don't allow kids, so we couldn't go in.
I don't know why I never been in this place before, food is great an drinks too, great atmosphere and service, this is definitely my place in town.
Doesn’t allow anyone under 21. Didn’t know that and walked in with my baby and friends. Bartender yelled at us upon entering “NO ONE UNDER 21!!!” We were all over except my BABY that was 9 months, i said “oh we’re sorry, even the baby isn’t allowed?” She replied with unprofessional sarcasm, “ Well I guess that makes him under 21, doesn’t it?” Ruuuuude. It was an honest question, had never been in there before, and we will not be back here even without children.
Might I recommend you go to the Barefoot Burger down the road. Lizzie was our waitress, she was so incredibly sweet. We were not allowed in the tiki bar there either, but she was super kind and accommodating and brought drinks to us while we sat in the restaurant area. She went above and beyond with her hospitality!! They get a five star!

Backstep is an amazing place for good brews, burgers, music bingo and sports. Go get a smash burger and their fries with aioli!! 🤤🤤🤤

Killer spot left in Crawfordsville. Owner is really great and personable! Enjoyed my time and will definitely come back

Great place but no original brews
Backstep supports local musicians by given them an amazing venue to perform in. They also have an amazing burger and amazing drink list. If you want to see local grow, absolutely consider supporting them.
Great smash burger! Thin with crispy edge!! Super selection of beer!
