The food had a chemically taste to it, not very flavorful in my opinion. Not much to service unless you're dining in but there's still not much to it. For the atmosphere it feels quite authentic and comfortable!

Beijing Chinese Restaurant is a hidden gem, perfect for takeout lovers seeking fresh, flavorful food with no frills. The portions are generous, and every dish is made with care, ensuring a satisfying meal. One standout feature is their attention to customer care—they take food allergies seriously. They even called us to inform us that one of the items we ordered contained an ingredient we were allergic to, which shows their commitment to safety and service. Plus, their nostalgic white paper rice boxes are a fun throwback to 90s takeout, making every order feel extra special. Highly recommended for anyone craving great Chinese food with excellent customer service!

Have to agree with the lower rated reviews. Nice lady at counter. Food just isn't that good. I tried fried, breaded shrimp as an appetizer; go purchase a bag at Kroger instead. Much better and cheaper too. That's all this was. Mushy chicken, sticky, gummy rice, weak soups.
How u gonna be closed 15 mins before ur supposed to be js

Everything we ate here tasted like it was ketchup based. Hot and spicy chicken, general tso’s chicken- it was all a ketchup sauce. The non-fried chicken also had a very spongey texture. We didn’t get sick, but we did all have rumbly tummies for the next several hours. Service was very friendly. If you dine in, you have to buy water bottles, as they don’t serve water by the glass. Actual food prices are very reasonable. Lots of bugs in the restroom. All in all, terrible food, not the cleanest facility, but very friendly staff.

Restaurantji Recommends
I was visiting Crawfordsville with my family and we decided to try this restaurant based on the good reviews... We ordered 4 entrées along with egg rolls, special fried rice and crab rangoons... 62.00 dollars of food along with a tip!!! Now, before I get to the food, I would like to say the cashier was a really helpful and hard working woman!!! I ordered at the restaurant for the take out and it took like 40 minutes to prepare my order... I tipped the cashier because she was extremely nice and reminded the people in the kitchen that we were in the restaurant waiting for our food and not picking it up... I really appreciated that as smart hardworking help is hard to find these days!!! Now, back to the food.... I would never ever eat here again!!! This was hands down the worst chinese food I have ever tried in my life and I have had chinese food from many places across America and in foreign countries!!! The orange chicken was red? Who puts shredded carrots in Mongolian Beef and the sauce is yellow??? Every entrée was not edible as nobody took more than 2 bites!!! Even the rice was soggy and stuck together in chunks... ewww... The only thing that was edible was the crab rangoon!!! I actually thought about leaving the food in front of the restaurant door with a note telling them to eat this slop!!! I don't know about these other reviews saying the food is good as obviously most of these people have never had good chinese... I am mostly pissed off at these reviews saying the food was good because it cost me 67.00 dollars total and my wife needling me the rest of the trip and beyond. I ended up taking us to trusty McDonalds in the end. If you ever in the Grand Rapids, MI area which has excellent chinese food in most places then try Great Lakes chinese restaurant and taste great chinese food!!!

Called and placed an order for saseem chicken with fried rice and the food was delicious. When I arrived, my food was ready for pick up and was greeted by a really nice lady working behind the counter. Only thing is if your order is less then $10 we have to pay with cash, which wasn’t an issue because the cost of the meal was only $7. Trying getting chicken, fried rice and an egg for $7 nowadays.
