Took a night vacation fom Illinois and ordered delivery to Hilton Garden Inn Merrillville and the pizza came HOT AND FRESHđ like it was fresh from the oven! Delivery was fast and delivery driver was so sweet! Great pizza!! So glad to have an Aurelio's in Crown Point!!

The wife and I decided to order a pizza on Sunday. They said it would be ready at 5:30 so I headed there around that time and when I went in I paid the bill and the young man at the counter said it would be 20 - 25 more minutes. I said ok I will go in the dining area and could I order a galas of beer while I wait. The young man at the counter said wait one minute and he came back and said that his manager was to busy to serve me a glass of beer. I asked to speak to him and he did come out and he said" I have 30 pizzas to make and do not have time to serve you" If I did not already pay for the pizza I would of left. I looked around the dinning area and there was one table in the middle with 6 or 7 people there and two booths with 2 people in each. Shortly after that a small group came in and went to sit down and the gentleman looked at me and asked if they just seat themself, I said I suppose so, but I told him I asked for a glass of beer will I was waiting and was told that they we to busy to wait on me. The manager over heard our conversation and very rudely told me that if I were a dine in customer he would wait on me but I was a carry out customer and he would not wait on me, all I was asking is for a glass of beer while I waited the extra time for the pizza to be made. I always thought a customer is a customer no matter what. I was not even up set that my pizza was going to take 20 - 25 more minutes than they told me when we ordered it. I went home and told they wife what happened and she asked if I got the name of the manager and I said no. She called back and they told her his name was Dave. Well Dave you will not have to worry about serving me because I will never be back in that place. Have a wonderful day

The staff at this location is very rude. I entered the establishment at 9:10 to dine in. Before I can get a word out, the employee very rudely said âWe close in 30 minutes, so if youâre going to sit, youâre going to have to eat very quickly and leave.â I get it, having people come in an hour before close sucks, but she should have kept that comment to herself. Especially since the restaurant doesnât close until 10 pm. I felt unwelcomed and left as I did not want to be around such a hostile environment.

Went in for a pizza and beer. Asked waiter what was on tap and ordered a pitcher of Stella, onion rings and a large cheese and sausage pizza. Waiter said that he was not old enough to serve the beer so the manager would get it in a couple of minutes. Our onion rings came out and waiter said that the beer would be ready soon. We finished our onion rings and the waiter came to the table to take the serving dish and told us the pizza would be done soon. We asked him about the pitcher of beer and he told us that the manager was really busy. We asked the waiter to get the manager for us to ask what the problem was. The waiter said that he would not get the manager. We got up and left. Called the store and talked to the manager and was told that he instructed the waiter to tell us that they were not serving alcohol tonight. We used to go to the original Aurelioâs in Homewood Illinois before moving to Crown Point and patronizing the Aurelioâs in Crown Point 22 years ago. Will never visit again or recommend. The owners need to find another Manager and waiters that donât lie thru their teeth.

A little over five minutes later, the appetizer finally arrived, but we noticed a family who came in after us was already served their pizza. When we asked the server if he had forgotten our pizza order as well, his only response was, 'Iâm tryingâŠ,' which didnât really explain much. In total, we waited close to an hour for our pizza. During this time, we considered speaking to a manager and canceling the order, but decided to wait until we finished and discuss it when paying.
At the register, I asked to speak to a manager, and the gentleman behind the counter claimed he was the manager. I explained the situation, and his response was that the mistake was entirely on the server and there was nothing he could do about it. I expressed frustration that it was their employeeâs distraction that led to the issue, and he showed no concern for our experience. The server came over and tried to remove the appetizer from the bill, but the 'manager' snapped at him, saying he needed to call the boss for approval. After a few minutes, he angrily returned and took a mere $4 off our $50 bill.
I told him we would not be returning, to which he coldly responded, 'Thatâs up to you.' As I returned to the table to gather my family, I overheard the 'manager' talking loudly to the kitchen staff, claiming there was no way we waited an hour and that if it were him, he wouldâve spoken up sooner. I called him back to the counter and confronted him, offering to prove the time we arrived using Googleâs timeline feature. When I asked why he was calling customers liars, he refused to give his name and walked away.
Weâve been loyal customers of Aurelio's across Chicagoland and Indiana for years, but after this experience, never again. Mistakes happen, but all that was required was basic courtesy and customer service. Instead, we were met with insults and poor management. They should be ashamed of themselves for how they handled this situation.
I have not had Aurelioâs pizza in a long time and was hoping for the same taste I remember. While the toppings tasted great, the crust was just not the same as I remembered. I was a little disappointed. I did try the wings and they were actually really tasty.

Apparently THIS is a "Basket of Fries".. I Paid $5.50 for fries smaller than a 50 cent bag of Doritos! I am disgusted that i paid for this and waited an hour and a half for the delivery of cold dry rotted pizza and it should be illegal that my total for this pizza and kid sized fries was $48! I promise anyone reading this review that Domino's is actually SO much better than this trash! Never again will I ever order from here.

My family and I have been frequent customers of this Aurelio's location, which we've always found to be one of the cleanest and most updated in the area. Today, however, was an extremely disappointing experience. When we arrived, the restaurant was mostly empty except for a few customers finishing up. We placed our drink, appetizer, and pizza order. While we were waiting for the appetizer we noticed the place getting busier as more families came in. We were waiting over 30 minutes for our appetizer while watching others who arrived after us receive their food, we started wondering what was going on. We searched for our server, and my fiancĂ©e noticed him off to the side on his phone. When we asked about our appetizer, he admitted he forgot to put in our order but said he would take it off the bill if it didnât come out quickly.
