I was blown away with flavor the first time but today was my second visit and I can’t say the same. Our service was very slow, the “food server” was not helpful when I asked if she could take extra plates away she looked at looked confused but I figured she was just going to put her tray and stander away and come but didn’t (had a baby in high chair so needed to keep space cleared), and when I reported that the smashed potatoes were not crispy nor pressed like they were...
Our first visit to Square Roots was very good. The vibe is relaxed and updated casual. The burger I had was ok, but the real star was the Oktoberfest special with 3 different sausages and honestly the best home made. The dipping cheese sauce was very good too. The service was on point and our waitress was excellent I highly recommend Square Roots in downtown Crown Point, Indiana
I had lunch at Square Roots with my girlfriend yesterday and we sat outside. We had the bang bang shrimp (shareable) which were very yummy.. The sauce was tangy and the shrimp were perfectly cooked, with a light breading. I could've eaten all of them but practiced restraint.
We also shared the Birria quesadillas which were pretty tasty too.
