Their coffee is better than anything I've had and I'm not even a coffee drinker. My favorite though is the feel-good fluid tea. Cold season really got me this year and I have lived off this tea to help get through. Staff is super friendly and owners are genuinely good people I was happy enough to meet at an event. Definitely going back for lunch this week.

I was profoundly impressed by the immediate and gracious manner in which the proprietor of Steamwhistle Coffee Roasters responded to a comment I made on 13 November 2023. Since penning subject comment, I've thrice returned to Steamwhistle, each time enjoying excellent and courteous service, first-rate coffee, and the best breakfast sandwiches in the Region. Try the breakfast grilled-cheese with an added sausage patty, it's perfection.A conscientious, engaged owner is a hallmark of all successful businesses. That Steamwhistle has such an owner is at once self-evident and a boon to all NWI coffee drinkers.
Best coffee shop in crown point. Its the perfect blend of sweet and tasting like coffee. Their fall drinks are perfect. I love the maple pumpkin and my husband loves the carmel apple macchiato iced. Their bakery items are never dry. The food is good, but if you have a growing person who eats a lot i would get a bakery item and a sandwhich. The portions are fair but not huge. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The cost is the cheapest for the amount you get.

An array of coffees & loose leaf teas in bags & canisters live large on a wall display with other for sale items as french coffee presses, milk frothers, tea kettles & other commonalities. Available for your convenience is a meeting room (prior reservation) behind a barndoor.. charming! I order from Sip Coffee House Normally every day however; for some reason they have not been doing good so I decided to try Steamwhistle for the first time today. I was sad they forgot my Scone. But I will definitely try them again and hopefully raise that to 5 stars.
