Just close already hours suck service is terrible. Came in today with a whole crew of guys to get lunch easy $80 order if not more and was turned away because I had $100. Judging the condition of the restaurant and the fact the the parking lot is always empty I don’t think I’d be turning away any customers. Get yourself a counterfeit marker and figure it out pathetic! If you’re not going to serve customers it’s time to close like the rest of the Zels in the area.

Mom and I were craving Italian bags when I remembered about Zels and we were glad to have gotten our sandwiches still delicious as always.

The food was okay but the prices are too high. I ordered a small roast beef and a double cheeseburger with 2 drinks. The total was $25. I know prices have gone up everywhere but this seemed excessive.

Haven't been to zel's for a while. It's probably been a few years. I got a regular roast beef combo and a LG pineapple shake and it was a little pricey at $19.26. It's definitely not worth the price because the shake was very liquidity and the beef was a little dry with just enough cheese and pickles for taste. I thought I remembered that sandwich being loaded. Oh well that will be the last time I will visit. So much for nostalgia. I've been a customer since the 90s at the HAMMOND, EAST CHICAGO, AND SCHERERVILLE STORES. It's time to let this place go :(
