Charlie’s Pizza is the definition of a small-town gem! Their pizza is always on point—doughy crust with just the right crunch, gooey piles of cheese, and honestly the BEST homemade sauce. My fiancé and I gladly drive 35 minutes each way for their pizza and breadsticks because nothing else compares.

The charm doesn’t stop at the food. This family-owned spot is tucked inside a cozy, old train-car style building, decorated with the sweetest vintage touches. It’s warm, welcoming, and packed with personality. The friendly service just seals the deal. If you haven’t been, go—trust me.

Neat atmosphere with trains and such. Breadsticks and pizza were just okay; breadsticks need more flavor, and pizza sauce is uniquely on the sweeter side. No complimentary water, must purchase bottles. Employees were friendly. Food was served hot/fresh. Breadstick cheese was served cold.

Easy to find. Very nice inside. The train memorabilia is great. Pizza exceptional. I ordered several vegetable toppings, ground beef, extra cheese. Great taste, pizza crust is perfect and house-made private recipe. I bought a small (nine pieces) and it gives me several lunches this week, plus nothing better in life like great cold pizza for breakfast. Breadsticks delicious. I will try the garlic sticks next time. Located in the hometown of Ernie Pyle, Dana, Indiana, west from Indianapolis or Rockville on highway 36. Beautiful country, quiet area, outstanding food, owner and staff are so friendly. Learned the owner is a musician with a broad repertoire and history playing with many famous bands, rock, country, etc. Your will see some old movie posters, Star Wars collectibles, lots of trains and more. Perhaps you will be there when the owner is there and plays the piano.

Great experience. Waitress was wonderful. We had 2 different pizzas and cinnamon sticks. We really enjoyed the food and had plenty of leftovers. Very cool building.

Parking: The space shuttle in the parking lot was cool.

We are staying at an AirBnB in Dana and after a long day of hiking at Turkey Run, this pizza hit the spot! The owner and staff were so super friendly, the pizza was done quickly, homemade crust was amazing and we were all very happy with the chicken Bacon ranch and Hawaiian pizzas we devoured. Don't miss this pizza if you're in the area!
