Bread Basket Cafe and Bakery

We were so fortunate to have Bread Basket partner with us for our wedding.
We also catered lunch from them for the wedding party as we prepped and prepared for the evening ahead.
The Dilly Turkey is my favorite sandwich!!
The pies though are over the moon!! I went on a hunt for special pies and Bread Basket delivered. The Coconut Cream, PB, French Silk, Pecan, and Dutch Apple…. Just them all but those are my favorite. I’m drooling to get ahold of the Banana Cream, it will happen. 😁
The staff is beyond friendly and helpful as well.

WOW!! Great place!! From the healthy option lunch to the sweet and tasty bakery items! Will definitely go again!! Also, John 6:51 on the menu. The best!

This was a lovely café with a lot of charm. Deliciously robust coffee, nice fresh salad, and friendly employees. (Hubby really enjoyed the barbecue😋🤣)

Hey this place is wonderful! We went to this place as a spur of the moment thing and it was amazing. If you have never been here please check this place out! They have amazing food and they're soup was to die for. Their coffee is the best coffee I have ever had in my life. The service was excellent and so was the environment
We sat on the porch and it was absolutely wonderful! 20/10 experience 100%worth the visit.

First time here and we both agreed that we won’t be back. We felt the initial greeting was unpleasant and unwelcoming. We were seated in the small room in a really uncomfortable booth. Chips, salsa and our cheese we ordered were all ok. We shared steak fajitas. I honestly couldn’t stomach the stringy, large chunks that were full of gristle. My husband agreed there was so much that couldn’t be eaten it was a waste. Not a fan of this place.

This is now my least favorite place of all time. We had 5 adults and our 2 three grandchildren. I don't mind waiting for a table. It did take almost 40 minutes to be seated on a Friday morning. Three of us ordered French toast. Two extremely small pieces of bread and a scoop of butter. It was the smallest portion I've ever been served anywhere!!!! They didn't even dress it up with powdered sugar. The servers shouldn't have served it. I had to get something to eat when I got home. Presentation gets a 1 and serving size gets a 1. It's usually obvious that the man of the party is going to be paying for everyone. NEVER give the person you assume to be paying the smallest portion. Ever!!!! When the person paying is not satisfied, he won't be going back! Common sense 101.!. Our bill was $112 and the amount of food we were served, the bill should have been half that much if not more than half. Service and food has gone from excellent to I'll never return. As a note to all establishments, if you find a really dissatisfied customer, send them some coupons worth at least half their bill and an apology!. Terrible service. Terrible food!

Love love love Bread Basket Cafe! My brother and his wife turned us on to BBC&B many years ago. They have excellent food. Their menu is diverse enough for all appetites. This is not fast food. It is creative in how they prepare your food choices. This is how it should be done. It is located in the heart of Danville Ind. In a converted home that has a nice quiet and intimate feel. Be prepared to have a short eait but it is worth it. Also leave room for the baked goods. When you are navigating to your seat you will pass by a chilled display case of their delicious goodies. Just stop and look at your options. Pricing tends to be more than average but this shouldn't hold you back. A beautiful sunny afternoon and your all set. They close at 3pm and are not open Sundays or Mondays. Fun to go with friends and know you can enjoy wonderful food as well as wonderful conversation without the extra noise.
