Dairy Queen Grill & Chill

Will not ever go here again. I rather go to Valparaiso which is the same amount of distance from my house. Why? Let me explain.. I ordered my food inside of Dairy Queen to eat at Dairy Queen NOT to go. I went to get my drink and I noticed every table in there was dirty therefore my daughter and I decided to eat outside. My seven year old daughter and I stood by the fridge, where Dairy Queen keeps their cakes etc. We weren’t in anyone’s way, whenever I thought we would be in someone’s way, I would move and apologize, that wasn’t often though. This girl walked past me that worked at Dairy Queen and said is your order for here or to go? I said my order is for here but if you want to bag it up, I don’t mind, whatever works better for you. She said since your order is for here you need to take a seat and we will bring you your order. I responded and stated that my daughter and I were going to sit outside once we got our food. She said go outside and sit and we will bring you your food, rudely. The girl that took my order originally, she was amazing. When she brought my food to my daughter and I outside she was kind and thoughtful. The girl that I encountered while I stood there waiting made it an awful experience. The Dairy Queen in Demotte always smells like sewage from the bathrooms also.

I am always amazed when we come here and the line is not around the block. We used to live in Hobart, and they need 2 lines to accommodate the number of people buying ice cream and fast food. The food in Demotte is better, and the service is even friendlier, so it's a mystery why it's not packed. We went on the 11th, when my husband was looking for a sweet treat, and ended up with a large Peanut Butter Blizzard - $6.39, or $6.84 with tax. The server held it upside down to prove to us how creamy it was. It look him 2 times to eat it, since he couldn't even eat it all at one sitting, even with me taking a few bites (just a few because sugar gives me a headache!) We've never tried the burgers or onion rings here, but it's just a question of time because we're out here a few times a month in the summer. I usually have the orange cream shake, but it's sooo good that I can't even. It's worth the headache, although I wish they had a size smaller than small. I used to be a huge fan of orange sodas, and this has that zest, but with the creaminess of a vanilla shake. Delicious. Love this place. And the girls are always so friendly. When we bring our dog, they used to give him a pup cup too. A+ awesome.

You have got to try this before it is too late! Orange cream shake with a chocolate ice cream sidecar no whipped cream💕🥳❤️

It's one of the freshest DQs I've been to. There was a brief wait, but all our food was hot when we got it. $7 meal deal is the best!

It smells so bad in there and it’s really cold. The employees are really nice however, just wish I didn’t want to plug my nose the whole time I was in there.

Very good I don't go to Dairy Queen often what was cheap reasonably good food and of course the ice cream was good reasonably accessible indoor and outdoor seating
