We stopped in on Sunday and were not acknowledged at all until I asked the woman ringing someone up if we seat ourselves or wait, since no one said anything to us while we waited there for a couple minutes wondering. She very rudely said "You will be seated when a table is cleaned," in a very dry, unwelcoming tone and not even looking up at me. Bad look for the restaurant as first time guests. I understand it was busy and they are understaffed, but treat your customers like they aren't a bother to you. How hard was it to look up and say, "Welcome, we will be with you as soon as a table is cleaned. Just give us a second." We left.

Having Steve, the owner, wait on yous a hoot. He is always friendly and attentive, and every meal we have been served has been very good. Look folks, this little place is Demott's version of a big city, greasy spoon. Do not expect super clean rest rooms, fancy silverware or gourmet meals. Take it for what it is a friendly, local resturant. If there is a legtimate problem with your food or service, ask for Steve, Gary J.

Our family of 8 stopped in for lunch on Saturday, November 9th. Our server did a great job of taking our orders, refilling drinks, and getting our food to us in a very timely manner. She was AMAZING! The portions were larger than expected and quality of food was tasty! Couldn’t have asked for a better all-around experience!

i literally never make reviews on places but i had an experience which infuriated me so badly today lol , i took my boyfriend to steve’s grill today as i like their breakfast i’ve gone in the past but even though ive never had a welcoming experience their food was still good lol . we sat down and was greeted by a server who took our drink orders then after that nothing we didn’t see her for the whole 15 minutes we were there , we weren’t served or even given a glance . as i watched her serve other tables and greet them , she even decided to go to the back and start cleaning utensils . it was very clear the message she was trying to send so we just up and left , my boyfriend is black and mexican and i am mexican so guess what race the other tables were lol . usually i would give people the benefit of the doubt that a server just forgot about us but we just just sat down and we were one of 4 other tables , there is no way she forgot about us that quickly . i don’t understand how you can be racist and work in customer service ?? do better bruh

Really good food and plenty of it! I had to ask for a second plate so I could keep the gravy from spilling over on the table. Hubby cut his omelette and stacked it for the same reason. Enough for 3 people on each plate. Waitress was really nice and came by the table several times to offer more drinks and keep on top of keeping customers happy. The restaurant itself could use a fix up. Dead flys in the windows. Carpet was old and dark. Table seats needed washing off or replacing. Old paneling on the walls could be painted gloss white to match the indoor divider windows in the seating area. Take out the gumball machine that’s broken instead of sticking a sign on it. Replace the vinyl seat coverings with fresh new colors Put in a light faux wood ceramic flooring. Open up the interior by removing indoor walls on one side. Counter bar space needs a nice organized area instead of all the stuff laying around. And have a good landscaper come in and make the outside inviting. Lots of money could be saved by cutting portions of food back. Great restaurant food and good service! Time to spruce up the place and it would be perfect! ?
