This is an old family favorite restaurant that has served excellent home cooking food for decades. The menu is fantastic and the staff is friendly, very attentive to guests. The food is delicious, especially the prime rib and brisket they make . Really great atmosphere rich with local history and memorabilia to enjoy. The pies go without saying- a must try. Highly recommend Back 40 Junction. Delicious!
I was dubious after reading some of the recent reviews, I'm glad I still went. Charming atmosphere, great food. I loved the brisket and the prime rib. The strawberry rhubarb pie was incredible and I also loved the fish, chicken, and the super moist brownies
When we got there for an early dinner, no issues with food pr service. But within 30-minutes of the evening rush and the food lines skyrocketed, the prime rib became “rarer than we usually make it” which was VERY rare and hard to chew, followed by cramped dining (hard to get through with all the people and tables) and a service decline that took us 30-min to get the check and then 15-min to find someone to ring us out because the one person standing there was on her first...
