I have a special place in my heart for Decatur Pizza King. Due to this, I am probably being somewhat generous on this review. Service was good, pizza was good, and salad bar was good, but the lettuce was browning. My major complaint was the lack of help at the take out/cash register area. Upon arrival, I had a question, I waited and waited until someone finally acknowledged me. The same was true when trying to pay the check. My husband waited so long a line formed behind him. Otherwise, it was a 4 star.

The food is good, but the service can be slow and can be quite packed. I went there for a school trip, and I didn't get my food until like very last minute.

The staff here was amazing. After dumping my entire drink on the table, the server was on top of it. She cleaned everything up, brought us fresh everything, and allowed me to get all new stuff for my 1 trip salad bar purchase. My husband went to the car to get my wallet and could not get back in. The front counter staff came and got me. They also solved my emergency when I thought my wallet was lost. She found it for me. All in all, our visit was amazing because your staff was amazing and went above and beyond the call of duty to make it that way.

Smorgasboard & Salad Bar were good. Disappointed how long it took to bring out fresh pizzas. Our waitress petite older woman was working her tail off as was the other older lady who kept up salad bar and pizza area. There was so much goofing off from younger ones, standing at front counter joking laughing, screaming behind the wall-everyone in the place looked up AND video taping each other, all while these women were serving customers AND cleaning off tables. It was dissapointing to watch. As many kids as there were, seems like someone could have helped clean tables. Even dishwashers were busy. We will continue going to Pizza King because we like their pizzas and salad bar.

The service was amazing. The waitress was great. We got the salad bar, which was good. The poppyseed dressing and potato salad was delicious. The pizza we got was a super king. I think it just had too many toppings on it. It was burnt on the bottom, and the middle needed to cook more. It didn't have much flavor, which was sad. If I did come back to try it again, I would probably get a pizza with fewer toppings to see if it was any better.
