They have a very friendly staff and food presentation was fantastic. But it’s the Quality of food and flavor of that food.
Our meal came out quickly and was hot and fresh. My wife got the beef manhattan with mashed potatoes and baked beans. They were all great (I stole a couple bites while she wasn’t looking). I had an amazing smash burger with tots.
Our bill was about $30 before tip so in line with what you would expect.
I highly recommend! Don’t miss this hidden gem.

My boyfriend and I have these date scratch off cards that we got as a gift from my sister for Christmas two years ago. We hadn’t yet used them, so Sunday night we scratched one off for a date for Monday night. The scratch off simply said travel 35 mins away to a town you’ve never been and find a small restaurant there and have dinner. The Union Station Cafe in Dugger was the spot that was chosen. We didn’t use maps to find it, only maps to get us into Dugger. Then we drove around until we found it! The anticipation of what to expect was fun and exciting.
Cutest little Cafe! Walking into this Cafe was so welcoming. The staff was so polite. We ordered Sweet Tea, as we seen it was a fan favorite. Got breaded mushrooms and they were delicious. Our dinner was the famous fork in the road Tenderloin, and we had sweet potato fries with it as well. They have the best Tenderloin’s and sweet potato fries I have ever had! It was such a wonderful experience and so thankful we got to enjoy it and we were so welcomed by all the staff that took care of us. If we wouldn’t have gotten these scratch off cards we would never have had the opportunity to eat here and experience such a wonderful place. We will be back!

The Oktoberfest burger was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their burgers, BLT and chicken sandwich. They did forget bacon on chicken sandwich. So, we skipped it.

Food was excellent! We had the patty melts … delicious. Shared fries and onions rings. Fries are thin cut and crispy. Onion rings homemade. We will be back to try something new!

After a morning of hiking at Shakamak State Park, we stopped at this little cafe for lunch. It was a fun hole-in-the-wall with lots of train related decor. Service was great, and they had a lot of options. I really enjoyed the loaded fries that my husband got (yes, I totally stole some!). He loved the tenderloin sandwich, and the kids were happy with their burgers. We would definitely go back and try new things if we were in the area again. While we didn't have room for dessert, they had a decent pie menu. I wish i had thought to take some pics.
Country Fried Tenderloin was fantastic. Cooked perfectly and great taste. Perfect size too. Is now my go to place to get food when I am in the area. Too bad I don't live closer.
Came back today since my first visit 2 years ago. Got the breaded tenderloin this time and it was fantastic.

What a place!! Talk about finding somewhere that makes you feel like your back at home. The country vibe and down home feel made me forget I was in Indiana for a bit. The food was outstanding, and the sweet tea was on point. Keep up the good work.
