I know... what am I doing in English, Indiana? Lol, visiting the beautiful Patoka Lake, of course. Woke up and wanted breakfast! I'm a sucker for mom and pop shops, so the kid and I ventured through the beautiful countryside and found this hidden gem. I've been here a number of times and have absolutely no complaints. It seems to cater mostly to the older crowd, so it's a bit old fashioned. But let them have it while they're here.

Kid-friendliness: I don't know what I'm supposed to say. Kids get kid stuff, no crayons or coloring books like at Denny's or anything. If you need that crap then go to Denny's or something.

This place is exactly what I wanted. Simple food, made well. Reminded me of my mom's cooking. The decor is a bit outdated, but that is a minor thing when the food is this good. Everything was clean and well maintained. The service is great, and the staff is friendly. You can tell that this place is a staple of the area based on the amount of regulars coming in that the servers know by name. Absolutely recommend stopping by when in the area.
