“We are visiting family in Evansville and decided to have breakfast at The Diner by Mel’s. We love to patronize restaurants that are not part of big national chains, and this restaurant is cute and friendly. I asked for the vegetarian omelette to be made with egg whites which they did, and it was very good. We both liked our meals, and we were impressed by the very friendly and welcoming staff. We will definitely be back during our visit, and if we lived in Evansville , it would be one of our regular places.“

“This is speaking from 2 years in hospitality and having been formally trained. I never review restaurants. My server at a Dennys is the only reason I am posting. His name is Dakota, a kid probably still in high school. This is Thanksgiving night, and the kitchen is behind. He is joking, upselling, creating atmosphere, checking on food (2min 2 bites IYKYK), investing in customers, and helping others who are not his tables. If im ever In this area again I hope he won't be there because he is probably going to be doing bigger and better things. Great job man.“
