Domo Japanese Hibachi grill, Sushi and Ramen

I ordered my meal at the same time as my guest. We both got the same sushi roll, the Green River Roll (GRR), but he also ordered an additional Winter Roll. So in total, our order consisted of two GRRs and one Winter Roll.

When the food arrived, my guest received both of his rolls first. I assumed mine would follow shortly—but it didn’t. After waiting about seven minutes, our server, Richelle, came over and asked if everything was okay. We let her know we were still waiting on my order. She simply said, “Okay,” and walked away without making any effort to check on the status of my food.

I figured my roll would be out any minute, so I continued to wait. Another five minutes passed, and Richelle returned to ask again if everything was okay. Once more, we told her we were still waiting on my order. Instead of addressing the issue, she just said, “Okay,” and walked away again. At no point did she go to the kitchen or offer any explanation for the delay, which only added to my frustration.

Five more minutes went by, and a different server approached us, asking if everything was alright. We explained, yet again, that I was still waiting on my food. He nodded and mentioned that Richelle had come to him, saying she didn’t understand what we were saying. That was both baffling and disappointing. While I understand that mistakes happen and always try to be respectful toward staff, her inability to acknowledge or resolve the issue—and then passing it off to another server—felt unprofessional and dismissive.

I finally received my order at 6:27 PM. By then, I was so frustrated that I just asked for a to-go box so I could leave. When we got the bill, I checked the time stamp to make sure I wasn’t overreacting. Our order had been placed at 5:58 PM. A nearly 30-minute wait for a simple sushi roll would be understandable on a busy weekend night—but on a quiet Tuesday with only three other occupied tables and multiple servers visible? There was no reason for this kind of delay.

To make matters worse, by the time I finally got my roll, I had lost my appetite. And unfortunately, the food wasn’t good enough to make up for the frustrating experience.

I’ve dined here before and never had an issue, but after this experience, I doubt I’ll return. The lack of urgency, communication, and basic customer service made for a disappointing visit.

The salmon hibachi (ordered from kitchen not at the grill) was meh. The salmon was cooked perfectly, but the noodles and rice were cold and I got too little food overall for the price. The fried rice had a weird taste (like an odor) when you ate it. Might get something else next time.

I was waited on by 3 different people during my visit. One guy topped up drinks another took my order and the last (a woman, different person than who was serving us) gave us the check. It made it hard to ask for things and they made few trips to check up on us.

I’ll definitely come back in the future but unless you do grill side hibachi I’d stick to the sushi or other entrees.

We went there as a family event and to our surprise there was a Mexican cooking for us ???? If we wanted a Mexican we would go to a Mexican restaurant, service was really slow , food was good . We would like to go again and hopefully have a Japanese or oriental person cook for us .

Food is mediocre at best, my miso soup tasted like water from a dishwasher. Honestly, don't waste your time and money - cici's pizza taste better and it's right next door.

Our Go to place for Ramen. This place is absolutely amazing, clean and the staff is well preped.

Domo never disappoints. The ramen is incredible and the sushi is always perfect. Service is fantastic!

My Fiancee and I stopped by around 1pm. Mariel, our waitress, and Marvin were TOP NOTCH. Food was one million times on point! Cooked/made to order beautifully. Each sushi roll that is made is a piece of art work!!!! I get cooked rolls, BBQ eel, and sushi Salad which were mind blowing mouth drooling phenomenal!!!! My fiancee gets raw and spicy rolls special requests rolls! No roll is the same and it was mouth watering buttery like heaven for her!!! We also ordered Yum Yum shrimp and omfg Marvin made it even better than it already is! The shrimp were GINORMOUS and so mmmmmm good!!!! What made our visit extra special is for our seven year anniversary they brought us out a special little ice cream sundae with a lit candle!!!! We a million times recommend this place and we will continue to come back and support small/local businesses of any kind! They definitely deserve it more than anyone!!!!

Excellent food, their sushi is some of the best in Evansville, and their ramen is spectacular. Eat in or order from door dash, their food is fantastic either way.

Owner previously worked at Nagasaki. Celebrated daughters birthday at Hibachi. Tried sushi and gyoza before meal, excellent. Chef was attentive and fun with a large group. Can't get wait to go again next time I'm in town!

First time coming here. I found the place on Google while out here working and I couldn't be happier. The food was more than awesome and the service was great. Definitely recommend and would stop by here again without any question!
