LISTEN. I'm not from Evansville or even Indiana, BUT the food in this place is outstanding. I read reviews of how this took too long or that took too long.... STOP. They cook TO ORDER. You want fresh then that's what YOU GET. A pork brain sandwich takes AT LEAST 20 min to cook FRESH. Ok? Local restaurant local cooks and local service. It's a great place to come and wind down and relax. No one turns a head because you're not local/neighborhood. Please just...

My food was pretty much flavorless. The service was excellent, but the atmosphere was unimpressive in my opinion. Two of us had lunch with no alcohol and it was over $50. The fried portobello mushrooms were flavorful, but lacking much batter and cost $10. I think they use portobello mushrooms to justify charging more for an appetizer that most taverns have for just over half as much as they do.

Sooooo much food for the price! It was so good! Our server was very nice & very attentive. Just a heads up, the brain "sliders" are the size of a regular sandwich, the jumbo one is the size of a plate! So good!
