We had a great late lunch here in a quiet comfortable dining room. The service was very good. The food was great and came out quickly. The restaurant was kept very clean. All of the staff we encountered were very nice and professional. The miso and egg rolls were both great starters. It is easy to find using Google Maps with plenty of free street parking.

Great for lunch in my experience. Have not been able to go in the evening. The sushi counter looks inviting; but have not tried it.
Such a lovely owner. I always appreciate when the owners take the time to meet the customers and ask if there anything they can do for us. I will definitely come back soon.

Our waitress was amazing, but sadly she was the ONLY good thing about this place.
They tried overcharging us $10 bucks for our meals, then once that was fixed they continued do math wrong, I left paying more than what was even on my ticket.
I was to pay $41.14, and paid $43 and some change. This is bad business, watch the price you’re paying, because the menu price is about $5 off of the actual meal price. I’ll be contacting better BBB.
I could say a lot more, but this is all I’ll leave here!

This is a hidden gem in Evansville! It’s been open for 45 years, and the owner was amazing. More people need to check this place out! The food was incredible, especially the sushi. You could tell it was fresh. 100/10 recommend. Go ASAP!

Wow so lovely to get homemade Korean food and homemade kimchi in Evansville! Jaya herself still works there and served us with a smile. What a lovely antique and quiet atmosphere. They had a great back room for parties too.

Stumbled upon this restaurant while visiting downtown area. We ordered sushi and the food was fantastic. I would only recommend some light music as it was very quiet in the restaurant and we felt as though we had to whisper to each other.

Called two hours before closing time to make an order and they said they were closed
Large portions for what you pay for. Absolutely delicious.

**The Junkfood Connoisseur** pays a visit. This place is beautiful! The atmosphere is wonderful, the tables and chairs border elegant. While the lighting is dim, it is fine across the center of the room. The food is incredible, the old woman serving is sweet. While i only had two items from the menu I really enjoyed them. I think this is a hidden jem in the city and everyone should see it for yourselves.

Wonderful food for dinner. We came in about an hour and a half before closing, the place was nice and quiet. The food was brought out quickly and service was wonderful with keeping our waters topped up.
We will definitely be back again, maybe try lunch this time. The short ribs (Galbi) my wife had was wonderful. The quantity for the cost was great. Other places in the tristate area gave us less Galbi for more money.
My food was great as well. The portion was a lot, I even have enough for lunch at work the next day.
Thank you Jaya for a wonderful time.

This trip wasn't as good as the last one.
Good stuff first!!
The chicken teriyaki, the crab stir fry, the bento box, one beef dish and one pork dish (in pics) were really good!!
The vegetables, rice, kimchi, and other sides were great!!
The mandarin cake was good.
Now the not so good....
I got the short ribs... for $22.... they were not worth that. They were 90% fat, gristle, and bone. The few bites of meat were very tough... not hardly edible.
I got wine-- don't do that lol. It was OLD and they glass was dusty.
The server is very nice and I do enjoy her... but she forgot my daughter's water... her food... and her in general. Her food didn't arrive until we were all finished.
Now, although this wasn't the best time there... we will come back. Their ingredients are always well cooked and seasoned.

My Fiance got the cashew chicken and me the teriyaki steak. Both were absolutely amazing. Interior was really nicely decorated and parking was easy to find next to the restaurant with more in the nearby garage if spots aren't available street side.

The food was delicious and it was very obvious that they make everything in house. Even the plain white rice was delicious.
Parking: 2 hour time slots but reasonable amount.
Wheelchair accessibility: It's on the sidewalk.

I enjoyed my Bibimbap quite a bit. The lighting was very dim. It felt more like a dive bar than a restaurant in that aspect, but other than that, it was lovely. The food was affordable and tasty.
