One of our favorite places in Evansville! Delicious food and excellent, friendly service. Can’t recommend it enough!
Delicious food! Don’t let the express name fool you.. the quality is top notch. We got the chicken shawarma plate with salad and rice , along with the falafel appetizer. Seriously so good! They serve each meal with two sauces/dips and naan bread. Great quality for your dollar! Plus, it is owner operated
Worst Dining Experience at Kabob Xpress
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Kabob Xpress was honestly one of the worst I’ve ever had. The food was bland, poorly cooked, and lacked any freshness. What should’ve been a flavorful meal turned out to be a total disaster — the rice was dry, the meat was overcooked and tough, and nothing tasted remotely authentic or appetizing.
Even the basics were mishandled. The rice were soggy, the sauces were watery, and everything arrived barely warm. It felt like zero effort went into preparation.
To top it off, the service was just as disappointing — inattentive and unhelpful. When I politely mentioned the issues, no one seemed to care.
I had high hopes for Kabob Xpress, but this was by far the worst food I’ve had at any restaurant. I won’t be back, and I can’t recommend it to anyone.
Please don’t waste your money/Time
Not worth it
The place is located right off the highway. Establishment is big enough to sit around 50 bodies. Paid for food before it was made, which I thought was nice to see the price before the food was brought out. The gyro platter was made fresh entirely down to the bread. They also sell local honey, salsa, & other food items. Wouldn't change a thing.
Best kabobs in town…
Best most consistent food in Evansville
Kebab Express consistently has some of the best food in Evansville. Everything is cooked to order and tastes very fresh. The chicken is extremely juicy and flavorful. The owners & staff are very friendly and proud to serve the food from their culture. Shown is the Greek salad with chicken shawarma added.
Incredible meals, big portions for fair prices. Loved the vibe in the restaurant, staff was so nice, food was fresh and fast! we will definitely be back!
Absolutely amazing. We went out for sister night and on my friends recommendation we went here for dinner. It was absolutely delicious. The salad was so fresh and crisp. The meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly. We shared an appetizer and pick 2 meal and it was plenty. We can not wait to go back and try more of their amazing food. They had a new dessert that I can not even begin to describe. It was crispy and flaky with a gooey custard like inside served with ice cream. Give them a try and be patient as everything is cooked to order.
The food was pretty wonderful. The atmosphere is pretty chill

I’ve eaten there 30+ times (in the last year) and introduced many others to this hidden gem on the northeast side of Evansville. Besides the authentic Middle Eastern dishes that taste as good as they look, the atmosphere is friendly; it is also always very clean. I love their chicken shawarma because it has a great marinade, but their salad has a unique dressing that many agree is one that brings them back. But if that doesn’t do it, maybe the freshly made flat bread since it has me hooked. It is local, tastes great, and authentically Mediterranean. Oh, and the portions are generous! I tried a new dessert tonight—and already love the baklava—but I forget the name. It was deep fried and made fresh—and served with ice cream while piping hot! I might go back just for this dessert. It is definitely worth trying out. Off of Lynch and Green River Road in the Schnucks shopping area.

Kabob’s is the best! The atmosphere is calming and welcoming. The food is full of flavor and very fresh. Hard to pick our favorites dishes. Highly recommend trying the Fattoush salad (and add on chicken shawarma, you won’t regret it), the falafel plate, and the mixed appetizer. Don’t forget the baclava for dessert!
