Lamasco has had a checkered past, but they are trying to work past it all. This is a good concept spot for the small town of evansville. It does have problems that need to be addressed.
The sound is iffy sometimes, like the guy running the board is inexperienced. I've been to probably 10 concerts here, and every time, it seems the sound is different. It's very inconsistent.
Also, the sound guy playing DJ sounds during concerts is super unprofessional. No band wants to hear airhorns, fake crowd noise, or any other sounds before or after their set.
The stripper announcements are unnecessary. It sounds trashy, and no bands want to hear that.
If I were management, I would either sit the guy down and have him completely retrained or get rid of him and bring in an actual sound tech. Running the board is an important job, and the last show I was at, he blew the head in one of the tops. His lack of training is going to cost the venue a lot of money in the long term if he blows the speakers or fries the board running full power through 3 channels.
Parking: There is a decent sized parking lot attached to the building and a parking lot attached to another business next door that is closed during regular bar hours.
Kid-friendliness: It's a dive bar. I wouldn't recommend bringing kids unless it's strictly for a quick bite to eat during the afternoon.

Tried going a couple of times, but the establishment had too high of an opinion of itself with the cover prices they were charging. Went to a nicer place and had a DAMN good time.
P.S. Head's up should the establishment consider responding, save the marketing B.S. for someone else; I don't care.

Went there for a wedding vow renewal and it was small and very intimate. Karaoke was fun and entertaining. The food was delicious for bar food. Bartender and owner were very friendly and helpful.

Was very disappointed with the menu and prices. We ended up ordering just a drink his beer was $4 mine was a well tequila drink (tequila sunset) and it cost $15! Never have I ever paid that much for a tequila sunset even in the most nicest restaurants. We won't be going back no more.
