Food was good, nothing outstanding but good. Service was slow but only the wife was tending tables. I have a very restricted diet so I was limited on options but husband enjoyed his taco salad and son enjoyed his burrito.

We were the only ones in the restaurant! I hate that because the food was simple amazing! We drove here from Indianapolis just for the large taco! It did not disappoint! So delicious. The owner waited on us and was so friendly and told us about the beginning of the huge Shell. The sangria was house made and very very tasty!

Stopped in for lunch, my husband was very excited for the foot long taco which he loved. The good was great but I would like to really stress how kind and thoughtful the owners are.It is our anniversary this weekend and they surprised us with a delicious piece of cake to celebrate. We almost left before they could bring it out. They were very sweet and friendly.Highly recommend stopping in!!

New location. Great service from the friendly owner. Menu offerings are varied with cuisine from 9 Latin American countries, including familiar Mexican offerings. Lots of suggestions and explanations from the owner. Prices are very reasonable and portions are just right. Try the Sangria. Good for families/groups also, small or large. Something for everyone. We will definitely return to try many more dishes that looked delicious.

As someone that grew up in Argentina, this is the only place in town where I can taste my grandma’s food. It is also a great option to expand your palate with different tastes from Latin America. Teresa and Pedro are the best!!!

This place is definitely worth the drive! We discovered this place by chance and it's become a staple visit every time we drive through. The owner is great and the food is delicious!

Very nice ambiance and excellent service! They are very proud of their homemade items... and open in sharing their recipes. We started with the fries with homemade chorizo and queso. They were delicious! Next we challenged our appetite with the one foot taco with steak! The two of us barely ate half of it!! We would definitely come back... next up on the list is the TWO FOOT BURRITO!

We had a delightful time and the food was amazing!!! We met and chatted with the owners, Theresa and Pedro, who we warm and inviting. They are still waiting on their liquor license (thanks Indiana bureaucracy!), but the food was so good we didn’t care. They also serve brunch, so I can’t wait to try that! Every north side should want to support Los Alfaro’s. We need more good restaurants like this!Vegetarian options: There were a few good vegetarian options.Kid-friendliness: There were no children there when we ate, but they can definitely accommodate kids.Parking: There’s plenty of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: The building and bathroom are wheelchair accessible.

The owners are fabulous & Teresa treated us great for lunch! We've been waiting for a few years to have a need to visit Evansville so my husband & son could do the 3 lb taco challenge & we finally made it down there! Lunch was great, I recommend the birria street tacos & the 3 lb taco did not disappoint my guys. They ate every bite. Would definitely go again if in town. Some of the menu offerings are unique, there are some of your typical favorites in Mexican dishes as well. It's worth the stop!

Wow! Amazing!!!! If you haven’t been before, please go. Do not read the couple of 1 star reviews about the wait time. You wait a little longer for the food because it’s ALL prepared fresh right when you order. The owners, Pedro & Theresa, are the absolute sweetest. She will explain every menu item to you in detail. What stood out the most was when she described her food as, “it’s all made with love!” Go support these awesome folks and try some amazing authentic Latin food, you will be so glad you did. My kids had the chicken on the beach, and it’s nothing like any other version of this we’ve had before- so damn good. Their new location is at the old Kennel Club on kratzville rd. They also have room in there for big parties and can hold 80 plus people. Spread the word and go get your grub on!

Food was fantastic. Many different options. We had the Sampler, the chicken on the beach and a burrito. Tres Leches for dessert. Will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu. Service was top notch.

Worst experience I’ve ever had dining out. Owner actually argued we me about glass tea I finally had stop her from arguing by telling her I wasn’t going to argue, she was very out line and almost threatening. Four of us and not one of us ate our food after waiting 1hr30min for food.SAVE YOUR MONEY
