Love the sweet and sassy barbecue

I am writing a new review as I have never felt so unwelcome in a business in my life. I have been a customer for 50 years. So I went in today and asked if they had any rye bread because they did have the Amish bread and it was good. The girl behind the counter told me it wasn’t her problem and she didn’t care. I said do you have any bread and she said no and again it’s not my problem. What! You are a bbq place and don’t have any bread. I wish I would have walked out and left my food on the counter. I paid her the 40.00 and she said ok and walked back into the kitchen with not a thank you or anything. I will never ever go back here. 50 years and that’s what I got.

It's an old place, kind of dark and bathrooms very poor. Food and service was fantastic

Recommended dishes: American Potato Salad, German Potato Salad, Soak Meat
Marx no longer serves hot food any longer. Was there Sunday the 29 of Sept and they told me the only way to get a soak was over at Hilltop. Hilltop is closed on Sunday. Had to get cold food and take it home. Back dining room was closed. No sit down eating anymore.Been going there for years and sitting down and eating my lunch. Sad, no more.

They have the best BBQ IN EVANSVILLE IN
Marx BBQ catered my wedding & the food was delicious. We had fried chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, mac & cheese, corn, green beans & rolls. All of the food was hot, served well & every guest was given a large portion. I highly recommend Marx & their services.
