On an unusually sunny and warm March day, I stopped in the Peep Hole with a few colleagues before a conference reception across the street at the Comfort. It's clear this bar is popular with the locals - in fact, a few of them noted the influx of us visitors who weren't "the regulars." The best part - the drinks are cheap. Our tab included drinks for a few people and the total bill was barely $30.

I can’t eat, or drink at a establishment in which the bartender is wearing basketball shorts, and they’re not even pulled up all the way. Evansville’s bar scene doesn’t have a great reputation as is at least they can do is put pants on.
