I went in for what was probably the last time today. I am sorry to learn the restaurant is closing (forever) in about a month. Thanks for all the pies over the years and the lunches with my grandparents, who have since passed.

Was seated and waited 10 min for cup of coffee. Waitress put coffee in the microwave and then by the time it was brought to table it was cold. She was playing on her phone the entire time leaned over counter. Another patrons food was in the window the same amount of time while she played on phone. She stuck her finger on egg to check temp before taking it out to that table. We left. 8/17/24 1230 pm.

Waiting time can be a little bit, especially if you are not a regular. The last couple of times I have been in there recently I have had to wait a longer time than usual and it was not that busy. 2 gentlemen in front of me and 2 friends, waiting to be seated they were frustrated because of their wait time.

Thus was our first time there. Food was good. Our server was sweet, but it took almost an hour for food to get to us. It seemed a bit discombobulated. On another note, we bought a pie to take home. It was amazing!

Our server did a very good job. The food was all good except the gravy. It was thin and not much flavor.

We went at 4:30 and there was only one server until after 6pm. Our waiter was super busy the whole time and did his best, but there really needed to be more than one server during this time. Some of us missed out on refills or sides. I had the country fried steak and it was excellent, the best I have ever had. The gravy and hot apples were also good. Two of us had mashed potatoes that were not very warm and didn't taste fresh, although they were not terrible. The two that had chicken and waffles loved it. The two that had coleslaw said it was too runny. The two that had coconut cream pie said it was delicious. Bacon burger was very good. Two that had macaroni and cheese said it wasn't very warm and didn't have enough cheese. We had a good server that was friendly and polite. I didn't get a receipt (and forgot to ask if that was an option before leaving.) I really would prefer seeing charges in front of me before paying, and having a paper receipt to take home. We had to wait 20+ minutes to ask for our bill. Not the server's fault because he was totally swamped. Management please have two servers after 4pm. This was a popular spot for dinner and a few large parties. I would love to go back again.

Two stars because the food was fine.

We had a very long wait for a table and then again for our food. New customers were arriving and waiting ten to fifteen minutes to talk to restaurant staff only to be told no one could be seated until the kitchen and wait-staff caught up. The hostess was crying.

Once we were seated, a customer at a neighboring table stormed out saying he waited two hours for a waffle and the received someone else’s order. The staff WAS trying, but they were notably unprofessional.

The place is just severely mismanaged. A good manager could better train staff, support servers
and host staff, and better interface with customers. The food was decent, and the pies looked good. I hope they can get someone to right the ship.

We were their for a family meet and greet 30 of us.. Clean. Service wonderful.. Food was great. I would definitely return when in the area.. The wiener was just recognised as a Woman of the Year.. Jackie. A award well deserved.. The Very Best Pies..

Food is as good as wver ,but the outside patio was filty the $.38 for using a card bill was $14.22 -$13.80 cash .
