Piece of Cake did the cake for my wedding in March 2024. The cake was beautiful and delicious. They also make a sheet cake for us as well. Their delivery went off without a hitch. We heard only good things from our guests about all 3 cake flavors we chose. (Vanilla, Chocolate, and Peanut Butter) but the Peanut Butter was the favorite of our guests.

So I ordered my wife’s bday cake like a month or more in advance. I was texting with one of the employees or owner or something, wasn’t real clear but I do know they were aware of my cake order. I had asked them if they made a mandarin orange cake and I was told they didn’t but they had an orange flavor (maybe) something that resembled it anyway and I said no thank just “chocolate on chocolate” would be perfect. I also sent 2 pictures I wanted on the top of the cake and asked that they crop around the people in the photos bc they were a little zoomed out. So I go to pick up the cake on my wife’s bday morning, March 18th 2024. One of the pics of me and my wife, like a selfie, was cropped to the point that you couldn’t see my face at all so I just thought whatever. We cut the cake and it’s white cake….not sure how “chocolate on chocolate” got misconstrued but it did. I am not sure what kind of icing it was but it definitely tasted like it came off a thrift market shelf. Not to mention when I walked in the store no one seemed happy…at all….like they could care less if anyone was there and then the pic is wrong and the cake is wrong. Anyway, extremely disappointed with this transaction and will definitely not be going back. Thank god there are a couple other bakeries and I pray that my next transaction is nothing like this one. I don’t usually leave reviews and do not want to “hate” on anyone or anyone’s company but when you are dealing with special days for people, birthdays/weddings, I think it is important to know who you are doing business with and what you can and cannot expect.

I was enjoying a pleasant stroll down Main St in downtown Evansville this morning when I happened to pass Piece of Cake. Fortunately for me, the door was open and the delicious aroma of their cakes, cookies, and cupcakes seemed to jump out and grab me. I honestly can't remember a smell tickling my senses in such a delectable way. It was heavenly and I had to step inside. I met a kind young woman who told me all about the family owned business and the pride they take in everything they back. I'll just say this-every city in America should have a locally owned bakery that sets such a high standard. This place is an Indiana gem!

Had gotten a birthday cake for my daughter here. The cake was beautiful, but the actual cake didn’t have much flavor at all. It was supposed to be strawberry and was very bland. For the price you pay it should definitely taste better.

Needed a last minute custom cake for my daughter's 15th birthday. I called several bakeries in the area and they were less than helpful. Piece of cake was awesome! They were so nice and understood my dilemma. They made the most beautiful Taylor Swift fifteen cake for my Swiftie. And the taste was amazing. The cupcakes were amazing as well! I made little Toppers for them. Their prices are very good too. I will make sure to order more in advance next time, I promise. But thank you so much for the wonderful cake!

As a last minute birthday request I asked my wife for a Red Velvet Cake. My wife contacted Walmart’s Bakery and they could not make this cake. Meijer’s bakery was too busy. Then we searched the web and found a wonderful bakery called Piece of Cake. This Red Velvet cake was so delicious. When the last piece was eaten. My family went through a slight depression LOL… Seriously when you need a fresh baked cake. Do not hesitate in contacting Piece of Cake Bakery. Your taste buds will thank you!
