I ate there for the first time today and I have to be honest, I wasn't impressed. I decided to get soup and salad. When the salad came out it was mainly lettuce with a tiny bit of onion and tomato mixed in. I know a salad is supposed to be mainly lettuce, but they really skimped on everything else. The two most important things with the meal is taste and presentation. It has to look good as well as taste good. I ordered the minestrone soup. This is a picture of what's on their menu and this is a picture of what I got. Does that look good to you? Me neither.
Also, something else that is strange over there. The people at my table ordered dessert. They ordered tiramisu, bread pudding, and spumoni ice cream. The tiramisu and bread pudding had whipped cream on top of it. That is so weird. I've never heard of that before and neither did anyone else at the table. The only thing they didn't put whipped cream on was the ice cream.
Maybe one day, I'll give them a second chance. But I don't see it happening anytime soon.
*Edit* I was contacted by Smitty's and they said that they wanted to make things right with me. I never heard another word from them ever again. So I guess they changed their mind.
This restaurant has excellent food and a great atmosphere. When you are inside the service is also excellent. The problem is that when you want carryout you call in and they transfer you to the bar and someone may or may not answer the phone in the next half hour. I would order from there three times more often if I could get carry out dependably.

Well I'm sure they have a lot of good food but the manicotti I had, did not resemble manicotti..... just mostly cheese and some sort of light sauce.. couldn't even see the noodles when it was first and there was a shallow dish. The bourbon glazed salmon was good and the service and atmosphere was very good

The company I work for uses Smitty's occasionally for work events. Yesterday we had a miscommunication, and when we got there to set up for our event they didn't know we were coming. Katie and the rest of the crew went above and beyond to quicly set up the private room and accommodate our 25 guests. I don't believe there is another restaurant in town that would have pulled this off for us, and Smitty's staff did it with grace and good humor. As always, the food and service were outstanding. Thank you, Katie, and the rest of the staff for helping to make our evening a great success!

Me and my wife and a few friends came here a few days ago and I gotta say we left pretty disappointed. There wasn't much people in there so I was shocked service was so slow. The waitress got our drinks and appetizer pretty quickly but then it took her like 30 minutes to ask us what we wanted to eat for our actual meal. I'd occasionally glance up and see staff members on there phones or cooks socializing in the kitchen. The menu said they were known for there steaks and burgers. So my we ordered the ribeye and ranch burger. Both lacked flavor. It was shocking to bite into a steak and burger but not really taste anything. I don't think they even added salt or pepper to the meat while cooking. I got halfway through my burger and was just bored with it. When you go to a steakhouse that's supposed to be known for steak, you want to be impressed with it's flavors and taste but we just did not find that here. I'll give it 2 stars but that's because food presentation on the plate looked good and the building and room atmosphere was pretty unique. Looks like a restaurant from The Godfather film. But that's it.

Our waiter was fantastic, the food was mediocre at best. The veal was tough and chewy, not tender. The salad was wilted and warm, not chilled. The establishment has a charming appeal and staff was friendly, but the food preparation was lacking.

First time trying Smitty’s tonight, and we will be back! Our server was excellent, kept our waters topped off, and answered our questions. We received our appetizer and food in a timely manner. The food was DELICIOUS! We first shared an appetizer of the garlic cheese bread. Then I ordered the manicotti and my partner got a burger. This place was busy, but service never slipped and the atmosphere made for a fun date night.
Parking: Pretty good size parking lot off to the side of the restaurant, plus street parking! Had no issues with this.

Came in around noon we had a gentleman waiting on us, he acted as if he didn't want to be there, made me wish I wasn't there also, the lady at the front gave him the phone so he went to the bar and took a considerable amount of time taking an order over the phone. He graced us back with his appearance and brought our drinks. We ordered I had to stand up several times and ask him for refills he was at the bar, if he was the bartender/waiter they should of sat us at the bar. He slammed our plates on the table. He never seemed to want to give us refills. The food wasn't worth having a guy that acted like he's a Kardashian working at an Italian restraunt undercover. We won't be back here again. The price isn't worth the food nor the atmosphere. Terrible. His folks must own the joint or he's their bookie and they owe him money. Had to pretty much beg the waiter to get a knife for my wife to use to cut up her entree after she waited 15 minutes to see him again. He wanted to stay behind the bar, instead of helping his table I was starting to wonder if we was at a restaurant or at Cheers and he was the Wish version of Sam Malone with the mental aspect of Woody.

Place was blazing hot and loud; waitresses were using napkins to wipe away their sweat off their faces.
The chicken marsala was supposed to come with sauteed mushrooms but didn't. Asked about it and they brought them but then charged $4 for something that was supposed to be part of the meal. My husband was so hot and the service so slow (took 5 min to bring the containers to take leftovers home then another 5 min to bring the check) that he didn't want to wait another 10 min to get it corrected so we left. Although the food was good, I won't be back since they are ripping people off by not bringing what's supposed to be a part of the meal and then charging them extra when the customer say something.
