been ordering their pizza for a while and eating it at Mo's house. tonight, Mo's house had a bridal party happening so we just hung out at Spankey's instead. very friendly waiter, his name was Adam. We were lamenting not being able to get my usual drink from Mo's but Spankey's had so many options. we had a great time and met the owner too. super nice and down to earth. I'm glad we decided to stay instead of taking our pizza home.

Great comfortable place, friendly waiters/waitresses, Graeter's ice cream! We go every Friday night!

Great food, and service. My spouse had the vegan pizza as her first experience with such since recently being unable to eat red meat. She was happy that she can eat pizza again. I had a regular meat stromboli sandwich again. They make their own bread with a great crust and texture.
Parking is easy and close. Dining room is always clean.

Vegetarian options: Vegan pizza with comparable vegan sausage with fennel and vegan cheese. Lots of flavorful veggies too.

My husband and I picked Spankey's Pizza for the first time to try it out as it had been recommended by his friend. Upon entering the restaurant I first noticed how hot and stuffy the restaurant was. It was October, and in the evening so maybe they just hadn't had their a/c on, but it was a little uncomfortable. I got used to it though.

We were seated fairly promptly. The atmosphere was good, lots of red like you expect possibly in a pizza joint. Several TV's sprinkled around mostly sports though I believe. I couldn't see a TV from where I sat, no big deal. The waitress was friendly and took our drink order right away. They serve Cocoa Cola products.

I believe there were 2 available bathrooms for either sex to use. They were clean enough and had plenty of supplies in them. I noticed a couple of video game machines back by the restrooms, which is good for the kids. It seemed like a kid friendly space.

We told the server it was our first trip and asked if she had any recommendations. She gave a few that were popular picks and we decided on the Spankey's Supreme.

Not really being familiar with UNA style pizza, we asked about pan pizza or a thicker type, which is sadly not part of their menu. A little disappointing but I kinda knew that going in after Googling UNA style pizza, but still I was hopeful.

The pizza took a fair amount of time to come out considering the place was pretty full - it was a Thursday evening. It was served on a screen on top of a pizza pan. We had plates, but that was it. No silverware, no spatula. I burned my fingers right away pulling a piece off the screen. Mine own fault, I was hungry!

When we got the pizza, I noticed how the crust around the edges looked burnt. Very brown, and cracker like as they just kinda crumbled as you touched them. You can see a little of this on my husband's plate. I didn't get a photo of the pizza when it came out, I forgot. The pizza toppings were generous and high quality, except for the cheese, I would've enjoyed a little more and evenly spread.

I loved the amount of sauce on the pizza, I like a lot of sauce. But back to the horrible crust. The crust wasn't even chewy, it was just kinda a tasteless burnt edge to hold it by. Under the toppings was thin, but better because it wasn't burnt.

All in all the pizza was better than okay (except for the crust), but I think if they offered thicker crusts as an option, or maybe just not have cooked the pizza as long it could've been a 4 or 5 star pizza (5 for a thicker chewy crust - I know it's my own preference).

The menu had a lot of interesting things on it that may appeal to you and they had some gluten free if you need that. Just know that it's thin and brittle crust and maybe that's your thing. It's not ours. They did have tempting looking ice cream signs around, but we didn't try it because we needed to get home.

Service was a little lacking, I don't recall the waitress checking back on us but once and that was later than it should've been in my opinion. We had to ask for a refill on our drink, it wasn't offered. Maybe she was busy or just forgot, but she was friendly so that's a plus nowadays and that goes a long way with me.

We probably won't go back simply because of the crust. The price seemed a little high for the size of the pizza ($20.99 for 12"), but things are so much higher now days, it probably is normal and our total bill is about normal for what we spend for the two of us. As a small biz owner myself, I understand they have to stay in business and respect that.

I did like that they didn't totally gouge us on drink cost, they could've been lower, but at least they weren't over $3 a piece like some places now. Cokes were $2.79 each in October 2024.

This was really good pizza! We got the Westsider and it was perfect! The breadsticks rank up there with my top five! And the ice cream! I highly recommend the Butter Pecan! They even put the football game on for us! We will return!

First time dining in. My family and I enjoyed the atmosphere. The waitress was fantastic! There was so much food we had to take it home.

They literally have a sign that says "children are cut off from free water". What kind of unethical nonsense is that? They overcharge for everything anyway, it's illegal to charge for tap water, who hates children that much?

I wish I would have taken pictures but didn’t think of it.
I placed a 200$ order for delivery. The breadsticks (36 of them) were way over cooked. No one would eat them!
The pizza crust was very tough and hard to chew. Hard to cut even with a knife.
The cheese bread was very good.
Overall, the entire group was very disappointed in the entire order. Nowhere near worth the money spent! Probably won’t order again.
