The protein plate... You get 2 frozen cheese egg omelette, a thin slice of cheap deli ham, a 1/3 size slice of bacon and a sausage patty.... You pay $15 and don't even get a real damn egg. You do not even make customers aware it is full of cheese, that is a dietary issue.
The toast...... Not toasted, just heated bread.
The cappacino, you get half of a small Styrofoam cup of liquid and half is foam for $5
I know it's an airport so pricier, but this is a rip off.
Worst customer service I've ever seen. Horrible Indian Man working the counter. Yelled at me and called me cheap because I was surprised he wanted to charge me .25 for a plastic spoon.
Atmosphere and dining area were very clean. The staff is very friendly but clearly not in control of very much. The Greek salad is anything but. No feta, no bell peppers, no tomatoes. The only thing I could tell that was vaguely Greek for the minuscule portion of black olives. The tuna salad sandwich was okay but an extremely skimpy amount of tuna, and a $5.50 up charge for a gluten-free bun, come on! Price was not disclosed; I saw it on the screen while checking out. Went back to ask for a cup of ice for my diet Coke and was told it was another $0.75. I said... really?! I just paid $50 for a mediocre if best lunch she agreed and gave it to me.
Again, the staff was super sweet and kind and I know they're not in control of the pricing or the portion sizes, but management should take note and step the food up. Yes, they are the only game in town, and we are captive, but there is much room for improvement.
The food could really use some improvement. With all due respect, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the whiskey and bourbon selection is outstanding—far beyond what most airports offer. However, the food didn’t quite measure up. We ordered a pizza that wasn’t fully cooked (though they did fix it) and lacked flavor. It felt like just a little more care and seasoning could have made it decent. We appreciate having the restaurant there and hope the food side is being elevated to match the rest of the experience.
Echoing the voice of others, I also had the unfortunate experience of being delayed for 8 hours at this airport. When to get some lunch and a hamburger and tiny bag of potato chips and drink cost me $22. I collect shot glasses and their shot glasses are 20 bucks a piece. Most others that other airports $10. I'm sure part of the reason is they have no competition. Avoid this place or bring your own food.
Very friendly service and an extensive selection of bourbons.
Excellent service! I needed a charger and the owner went though multiple boxes to ensure I had the correct one before charging me. This is the best service I’ve had in my 20+years of traveling!

I was unfortunate enough to have a flight delayed so got to enjoy both breakfast and lunch at The Iron Compass. To start, this is the most expensive airport food I’ve ever had, and I travel everywhere so that says a lot. For lunch, I got a breakfast sandwich upgraded to a croissant (for an additional $2). The sandwich was fine, but was not worth $16.99. For lunch I had a chicken salad wrap. The lettuce on the wrap was actually brown and some pieces rotting to the point where I removed most of it from the wrap. In terms of the chicken salad, a classic southern chicken salad in a tub. It tasted as I expected, but was such a minuscule amount; the majority of the wrap was just the smear of mayonnaise that the chicken salad is dressed in. There certainly wasn’t more than 2 tablespoons of chicken salad in this wrap. Again, for $14.99 no where close to worth the cost. This place is a joke. Go anywhere else but here. Buy m&ms from the vending machine or go hungry. Worst and most expensive food I’ve ever had at an airport. Not surprising that they’re able to charge so much since it is the only option. You guys are crooks for the amount you charge.

Look, I understand prices are gonna be higher at an airport but this place has some of the highest mark ups I've ever seen. I was going to buy my child one of the puzzles they have. They wanted $85 before tax. A quick Amazon search shows the puzzle for $20. I bought some other items instead, but after a quick search I wanted to return them. Apparently the owner/manager is the only one who can give refunds. I suggest staying away from here.
Let this be a reminder to research before you buy. The owner should be ashamed.
One glass of pinot grigio and a double vodka soda w Tito’s, no food…
Guess the total price?
$38.45. Do not give this business your patronage. Guys, it’s Evansville, not Vegas.
Scam.

Decent airport eatery, mostly ready to go foods but a small menu to order from. Prices were airport reasonable. Staff were friendly and checkout was quick.

Tried to tip the wonderful lady working the bar only to find out the manager keeps all tips. Anybody know how I can get ahold of him?
tried tipping the lovely lady behind the bar only to find out that the manager keeps all tips. anybody know how you get ahold of him to ask why he does that?
I visited the airport location.
The Manager is rude. Thank goodness the ladies working there were very pleasant or I would have walked away.
I had a Club Sandwich. It was a joke. Ridiculously small portions of meat and all bread for $15.00
A bottle of water was $7.00.
Try to arrange your meals before you arrive at the airport so you don’t get taken advantage of. Iron Compass does not represent Evansville very well.
Never going back.
