We came to Santa Claus, Indiana on a girls trip from Alabama. My best friend found the Cascade Cafe online. It did not disappoint! Everyone was so friendly, food was homemade and delicious! Sausage gravy was like my grandmothers! Best meal of our trip! Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely loved this place! The diner is spotless and has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are some of the kindest people you’ll meet, so friendly and attentive. I couldn’t imagine anything better than the food, but the service, cleanliness, kindness, and jovial atmosphere are tough competition too. I arrived earlier and it filled up quickly. The staff could not be more efficient, personable and just plain fantastic. Highly recommend the Haystack. The bacon and sausage platters are excellent as well. The portions are too generous for me to add a blueberry pancake but I have no doubt it, or the pumpkin coffee cake, cinnamon rolls etc- will melt in your mouth! Shout out to Elizabeth!

Home cooking at its finest. This restaurant uses the k.i.s.s. philosophy with a one page menu, and a paper flyer with their specials. There are also some specialty iced coffees and small items posted on the board by the cashier. Customer service was phenomenal. Attentive but not hovering table service. Extremely clean dining area. Seating available from 2 people to as many as you could need with nice tables and comfortable chairs. We each ordered the haystack. Hash browns were crispy all the way through the meal, maybe the best made from scratch biscuits I've ever had. Grit gravy was on point, not overcooked, and seasoned to perfection with the right amount of sausage in the gravy. Scrambled eggs on top were light and fluffy. Franks red hot sauce was made available upon delivery of food which was prompt.

First off the food was phenomenal and exactly what you'd expect from a small town diner; comforting.
Both servers were extremely attentive, friendly, and always greeted the table with a smile.
The manager also checked in with every table and struck up great conversation to make you feel right at home no matter where you're from.
Will definitely be returning when on this side of town!
