We stayed at the hotel nearby and this was the only Chinese restaurant. We didn’t expect much but the food was really good! The front guy was so nice. This is one of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. The boneless spare ribs was my favorite
Great prices, great portion sizes and fresh veggies, clean and friendly staff. However, the fried rice was beyond bland, and the chicken “strips” in it were so pale we referred to them as “anemic”. The wonton soup broth was under seasoned, and the sweet and sour sauce tasted diluted. It wasn’t bad, but I’m definitely not going to rush back.
New to the area, we looked for almost a year for good Chinese food in the area. Someone recommended China Garden, and we are absolutely convinced CG is the best Chinese food in all of Dubois County.
Just removing the entree plastic covers and the steam rises, the food is that hot, and that fresh. No more soggy cashews sitting under a heat lamp in a buffet; CG's cashews in their entrees are crunchy! My wife really likes the crab rangoons.
