Went for breakfast on a recent trip. Took a second to find it. Not much seating so we were lucky to come when we did. Everything is homemade that we tried. The owners and other patrons treat you like family. It was a wonderful experience all the way around. Plus you can’t beat the pricing!!!

Parking: There are a couple of spots in front of and across from the restaurant to park. There is also a free gravel parking lot to the side.

Small family-run "mom and pop" shop. Friendly place. Just be aware seating is limited.

Small town mom and pop restaurant that never disappoints. Homemade mashed potatoes like you rarely find anywhere. Cash only, but worth every penny.

Bert & Betty's is your perfect small town Mom & Pop type restaurant. Perfect comfort food! They only take cash or checks, but the prices are low, food is good and you won't leave hungry. Check their hours of operation before you go, because they aren't open everyday. Oh and they have a great choice of pies for dessert that you aren't going to want to miss.

this could be a five-star experience on any given day. the breaded tenderloin is very moist with a thin crispy crust. unfortunately the bun disintegrated halfway through making it difficult to eat. even so I'd give it 5 stars. the grilled tenderloin was so dry we couldn't finish it. french fries are nice and crispy; looked like the frozen crinkle cut kind but they were good. the onion rings have nice thick rings with a nice thick batter unfortunately they would not stick together. very difficult to eat. we would have liked to have stopped while riding our bikes on the vandalia trail, but they don't answer their phone when they're busy so we had to wait until after the ride and drive back. we were pleased that the sandwiches were wrapped in foil that we can recycle (and did). but the onion rings were in unrecyclable styrofoam.

Bert & Betty's Kitchen, Fillmore IN Awesome service and food. Okay, there's a lot to say about the small town Cafe or restaurant. We all love 'em. But you hardly ever see 'em. Tucked away, in a blind alley somewhere. (Grin)
