Tacos and and chicken and burgers, oh my! Everything is good here

We’ve been here a few times and the food is always excellent. This time around we placed an order online while upstairs at a special event, thinking we were being efficient. The order took a while to go through and when I came down to inquire the manager or owner, stepped in and helped us out. He was awesome to talk to, very kind and willing to help! Even though it was definitely on us for ordering the way we did they immediately moved our order up so we could eat!

The food is always excellent, seriously the tacos and the queso is fire!

I ordered some tacos from Gorditos Rust Belt, let me say this b4 I start I never hate anyone I want everyone to shine, however, these tacos were small and were not seasoned, and the pickle fries were cool with ketchup, I tried a beer flight for $5, it's a mystery flight so you would never know what you're getting again I would have to try different flavors but these 5 were not in my flavor profile, I'm not discouraging anyone from trying the test kitchen. I think the one trick pony may well be the type of food that I enjoy the most. So go enjoy.

I've been three or four times and the food is always pretty good, but the drink service is poorly managed. One guy services both inside and outside while 2-3 other people stand around. I waited about 30 mins for a beer that never came, asked the host for the check and to cancel the beer. The server finally brought the check, never address the beer and ran away before I could give him my card. Luckily I had cash.

We have been three times. Trying to get a drink or check is extremely difficult.

The food was all good but honestly ridiculously expensive for what we got. Nachos, 2tacos and a coney dog was over $50. I won’t go back. The seating is also less than comfortable.

The venue was used as a pre-wedding cocktail location. Everything food as well as cocktails was very good.

Scotchy Jamaican Grill in the Test Kitchen is absolutely amazing! The chefs are amazing, personable, and friendly. The jerk pork was soooo good. Everything tasted so good and was made fresh. I highly highly recommend. This is for sure our new spot!

We sat at the host stand for 5 minutes. Two employees made eye contact with us, and just went back to side-work. Just disrespectful, do better.

If I could give a 0 for service I would. I placed an online order for pickup, followed all the prompts which included inputting my car details. At arrival I selected that I was outside, I was notified that my food was ready and I waited for my food to be brought out…10 minutes passed and I then proceeded to the pickup window which looked nonfunctional, was filled with dishes. I then called and the line did not go through. I had to drag my newborn into the building, which I was trying to avoid. Once I entered there was no one at Gorditos but there was an employee at the other station who asked me what I was there for. I showed him my order and notification that informed me my order was ready, he stepped away to get another employee. That employee showed me something on their phone in Spanish (I don’t speak/ read Spanish) so I informed the female worker that it’s been well over 30 minutes and my order isn’t ready even though I was notified that it was. The employee after several minutes finally made my food. I do not recommend ordering the chips as they are left out in the open with no lid, and the worker didn’t use a scoop or gloves. If I could report this payment as fraud I sure would, but I’m no longer ordering from the Test Kitchen, I prefer a more established facility and one where employees wear gloves.

This place is awesome. First time here and the quality of the current kitchen testers was amazing. Tacos, Chicken Fingers, Loaded Fries, there wasn't a thing we didn't like!

Kid-friendliness: This place has been welcoming to our kids both times that we have come.

The beer is good. The drink service was fine. The food process is a dumpster fire. Ordered food via app. Never received message that food was done.( put number and email in) waited a reasonable amount of time. Went in to find food in 3 different locations that was now cold. For the love of god do something about the yellowjackets if you sit outside.

Not my taste in food or atmosphere. It is a small food court. I would rather go somewhere i can sit down and order. Or do a drive thru.
