We were told that they breaded they own tenderloin’s. The meat was 1/16” thick. And when we told the bartender about it she acted we were lying. So we showed her and all she said was go somewhere else.
Parking: There was just 4 people in there. That shows what kind of place it is.
Wheelchair accessibility: Set up by the door
This is the story of a town that has grown from a population of 350 in 1963 to nearly 100,000 at the present time and a restaurant that has earned a reputation as one of the finest eateries in the area. Located at 7870 East 96th Street in Fishers, Indiana, off I-69, along the west fork of the White River, 16 miles northeast of Indianapolis, a thriving suburb with Carmel to the west and Noblesville to the north, Hoss Bar & Grill prides itself in home-made creations and traditional comfort food that brings hungry Hoosiers back for more. Open from 4 to 11 on Wednesday and Thursday, 11:30 to 11:30 on Friday and Saturday and 11:30 to 9 on Sunday, it is to good eating what basketball is to Indiana. My wife and I started with bowls of home-made cream-based Alaskan clam chowder with clams, potatoes, carrots and celery and chili made with ground beef, tomatoes, kidney beans, onions and spices with cheese. I couldn't resist the house specialty, the Hoss Horseshoe sandwich, a six-ounce Angus burger seared and grilled and served open-face over toasted white bread topped with hand-cut French fries, house cheddar cheese sauce and poutine gravy. My wife was very content with chicken parmesan, a fried chicken breast topped with house marinara sauce, mozzarella, asiago cheese and olive oil, then baked until golden brown and served with hand-cut French fries and brussels sprouts. For dessert, we shared portions of peach cobbler and home-made cheesecake.
Nice quiet bar. It's a good place to watch a game. The food was decent for bar food. The drinks were overpriced $13 for a small crown and coke and $9 for a tiny long Island that was mostly ice and had a weird taste possibly due to the garnishing. The service was good so I'd go back.
Yeah, will never come back here again. Walked in @ 8:59 exactly and was told they were closed. The bartender treated us like we were d*** and said that they close at 9. We said “oh, google says 11” to which she replied, “umm no, that should’ve been changed, our door says 9” we felt bad and were confused but as soon as we walked out, we looked at the door AGAIN, and confirmed that it said 11 pm on Sunday. I get that it may be a slow night tonight and you want to go home, but you don’t have to be rude and lie about it!
We are in town for a tumbling competition and stopped for lunch and WOW!!!!! The vibe of the place is so chill and cozy! The food is amazing! We had our 8 yo who is sooo picky and even she was happy! The pickle sticks are a must have!My husband have the fire burger which was amazing! The pizza was also amazing I had Buffalo sauce with chicken and banana peppers!! Hands down a great place to eat! and the service was incredible
My wife and I used to go here a lot when it was Sahm's. We liked the vibe more when it was more of a hole in the wall. They jazzed everything up, but also increased the prices and changed the menu a lot. Nothing in particular was wrong, just liked the place before they changed it a lot more. Also liked the old more straight forward menu and pricing.
My wife and I found Hoss about a year ago and loved it! Since then we have had carry out several times and enjoyed each one until tonight. They stopped carrying potato skins, loved fries and curly fries. We ordered any way for a carry out. When we opened the boxes the mushrooms didn't even look like mushrooms they were so small. The LARGE tenderloin sandwich was smashed paper thin and was smaller than the bun. My wife took everything back and asked for the manager (no one would answer the phone) and when she came out she said...what's wrong? If you didn't leave it sit in the containers for so long it would be fine. All of this with travel time was 20 minutes. Then the manager says, well this is not my fault! We finally got a refund but this will be the last time we visit there.9-16-22Between 7-8 pm
The food is amazing. Fresh and full of flavor. We really enjoied the Big Hoss tenderloin sandwich it comes with one side, we chose to upgrade to a premium side for 1$ more we got the fried mushrooms and buffalo cauliflower. I took away 1 star because the server was absolutely terrible, she was hateful, snappy and rude. She took our order with the worse attitude and abandoned up. The hostess ended up taking care of us, she was great!
Man these haters on google…. You act like this place is garbage…. Far from it… this is 4-5 star all day….the review about a hot dog ? YOU ordered a hot dog what do expect? It says what comes on it ? Karen and Ken for sure….The food is quality, and the cooks do a good job. It’s better than your traditional bar foods. I was going to give it 4 but then I read all the reviews, so the 5 star is making up for the 3 stars…Negative: staffing, not enough servers.Negative: more Queso and guacamole with chips.Negative: Beer cheese on fries wasn’t that good, super gritty. Just melt some cheese bro and toss some bacon on it. ?Negative: have a kids menu with chicken tenders.Negative: ditch the signage out front, screams “bar only” try something fancy to draw attention. Should match the one inside….Positives: decorPositives: large menuPositives: clean inside and friendly staffPositives: plenty of seatingPositives: food was on pointPositive: speed of foodPositive: large alcohol menuWill be back to try pizza and have drinks on Sunday. Left the waitress a 20, she was handling 6+ tables and a party of 10. Crushed it..
Nice place to grab beer and food. I got Irish blessing beer. It was nice. A stout with coffee and Chocolate flavors. Fish and chips were ordered too along with salad for my wife who has dairy and gluten and onion allergies. They spruced up her salad to add some flavor. Really nice.

Pick up order so didn’t know anything was wrong until I got back to the hotel. Pizza was ok, would have been better if it wasn’t incorrect. Ordered a Pepe Wahoo pizza, instead of ham they put pepperoni. Ordered chips, and ranch. Photo showed home made potato chips, I got tortilla chips and ranch…who eats tortilla chips with ranch…
Great service, craft beer, and large menu. Would highly recommend and will be coming back in. We got the chicken dip and spicy garlic cauliflower. Their bleu cheese was amazing!Topanga is a great beer, highly recommend.Cheers!
First time at this place. Truck driver looking for quick bite before Sabbath roll in. Everything soaked in grease either overcooked or undercooked. ???They got that Paula Patton chicken? Hair in cup of ice I drank from…DAMN! $45 takeout $7 tip for taking order. The stereotype of people complaining black people don’t tip. Too many bad experiences. Wash your hands, cover your head, take a cooking class from a real ole school person of color??♀️
We stopped in for the 1st time for lunch. There was no wait. We sat down and my napkin my silverware was wrapped in was dirty. There was not alot of food options. Our server brought us waters to start but we wanted other drinks and she didn't ask just asked for our little one. I then asked for sweet tea and she said it's not sweet I can bring you this liquid cane and you can sweeten it yourself. I said ok she brought the drink back to the table and the stuff to add sweetness to the drink did nothing. We will definitely not be back here. There was only 4 options for kids meals too.
The burgers are very good, so are the fried mushrooms and other items on the menu. I will say, the floor was very slippery which might seem funny to add, but I did slip twice and felt it was worth mentioning. We enjoyed our time here very much and again, felt the food was extremely well-made and well priced.
