trying to reach customer service and the automated phone system hangs up on me. Multiple times

They have managed to open a new store with equally horrible parking to the old one. There’s also a weird pseudo-clothing department and the baking supplies are split up on 2 different aisles. The flow of the store stinks. I will probably just go to Meijer.

Went in to Kroger to the self checkout and was going to purchase a lighter for my candle. I had bought before didn’t think anything of it since I had bought one there a month ago. It was a different lighter I thought I was still able to get this one since it was similar to the last one. I ended up having to get my ID checked which was fine that I couldn’t get it but the lady tonight at the self checkout was so rude because I wasn’t of age to get one. I didn’t make a big deal out of it but she was extremely rude and it was so uncalled for. Wish I had caught her name because this worker does not deserve to be there.

Appallingly unsanitary store. A pile of vomit in the main aisle, only addressed by 3 “Wet Floor” signs and no further cleanup. Carts had been driven through it, leaving streaks all across the store. Filthy dairy shelves, and to top it off, their supply was almost out of everything. Stay far away.

Kroger makes it so hard just to get the sale price they put on an item. You use your Kroger card and expect to get the sale price then you find out no you have to use an app on your phone. Then you have to scan the card on your phone and clip the coupon. Most people never go through with all that hassle way too much work and not a user friendly way to get a sale price. So the price of the item can be quite a bit more expensive then what you thought you were paying. It’s a bad gimmick the Kroger provides but they make a lot more money this way. They need to provide the sale price with the card only and do away with the clip coupon.

Horrible management- they sell expired drinks and Food. It’s a terrible store.

Poorly managed. Poorly stocked. No hot food (specifically rotisserie chickens) in the deli at peak dinner time. Very consistent though, because it’s always poorly stocked and managed. Then there are people who do not speak English in the self checkout. That makes sense!
Edit: just go to any other Kroger. I hope the new store across Allisonville is better when it opens.

Only 2 stars because I had a frustrating experience with the self-checkout. Very few lanes were open, so I had no choice but to use self-checkout. I tried the handheld scanner, but when I was done, everything on the belt started moving in reverse instead of toward the end. I pressed the button for help, and the cashier came over and scolded me for using the handheld scanner, like I was a child. If Kroger doesn’t want customers using self-checkout, they should open more cashier lanes instead of having customers fend for themselves with malfunctioning systems.

Please do something with your chronic fruit fly infestation in the produce section. They are a nightmare to get rid of when carried home from your store.

Should hire someone who can read English to stock the pastry shelves. Easy to distinguish between chocolate iced and powdered. Fillings harder without poking. Lately seems no correlation between item on a shelf and its label.

June 22, 2024. Stopped by to get some skirt steak, when I picked up a package I notice there were double labels, when I peeled the top label I noticed a double date for this meat sale date, June 12 and July 12, wonder how long those packages have been sitting on the meat aisle counter.
