This place always seems to close early the best time to catch them is during the day. I can understand 5-10 minutes before close but 45 minutes to an 1 hr or more is unreal.
Rita's is a Philadelphia institution. So as a displaced Philadelphian, I was thrilled to find one in Fishers. However, in Philly, they call it Water Ice, not Italian Ice. All of the ices are great, but my favorite is mango. Try a Gelati, which is water ice and vanilla custard mixed together. That's my all-time favorite. Rita's is just down the street from that one famous Fishers ice cream place. So if you don't want to wait in line there, try going a block north to Rita's.

This is what happens when private equity goes into ice cream. No love. No quality. Calling this Italian ice is criminal. This stuff is a high priced slurpee. Slow service. Atmosphere of the streets of Fishers - none. Went here for my daughter. How this place exists one block from Handel’s is amazing. Just go to Handel’s instead. Oh. $7 for small milkshake.

Got the strawberry custard just to try Rita's out because of all the great reviews. Was not impressed. It was just lacking overall, it didn't have a great strawberry flavor, didn't taste rich like I would have expected and I wasn't fond of the texture. I didn't have more then a bite or two.

While the custard is good, the size of their servings is utterly hilarious. $5 for a small dish of custard that was maybe 5-6 bites. This location won’t be open long.
