We are traveling back to our home in Florida and decided to spend two nights at Belterra and treat ourselves. First I will say the rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The check in process was quick. We are here for two nights Fri & Sat so between hotel room rates and meals we have spent over $1,000 at this hotel. In our room we have two cardboard cups to use for coffee, brushing our teeth and anything else we may want to drink in our room. When we asked the housekeeping staff if we could get a couple more, she said, “NO” we don’t give out cups. They apparently don’t give out shampoo either as we had none and again were told “NO”. There is no service in your room so no clean towels, no beds made etc. I am okay with that to a point but when you are spending $300 a night I think they can afford shampoo that they get at cost of about .13 ea and a couple of more cups. When we went to dinner the waitress seemed insulted that we asked for a refill on our soda adding to our list of Belterra Staff that were less than friendly. I know we won’t stay here again, and I would caution others to be prepared for unfriendly staff and absolutely no frills.

Stayed for 1 night at Belterra Casino last week. No Valet parking but you can drop off your luggage at the door and self park. No big deal! Came early before check in and were told we could not get in our room until 2 pm. The desk stowed our luggage and we were able to grab lunch at the Stadium Restaurant. Good food and I thought reasonable prices. In fact we ate dinner there also and had excellent service both times. Got in our room, a deluxe double and it was very nice and clean. Nice view of the Golf Course. My issues were lack of eating places now that the buffet is shut down. They do have pre- made sandwiches and salads at the coffee shop that looked good. The steak house has a nice menu but is very pricey. So that leaves the Stadium Restaurant. The sports book is a nice addition but if you wanted a drink you had to walk down to the casino to get a drink. They have a bar next to the sports book but it was closed the night we were there. A lot of people watching the games were annoyed with this inconvenience. In fact getting a drink was a big hassle most of the time. Seems like Belterra is cutting corners with customer service by not having proper staff numbers working. I like the Hotel and hope the management can get things back on track with staffing and more food options.
