This place is cozy and quaint. The menu is right sized for its customer base. They don't waste a lot of time of a bun h of stuff to do mediocre but keep it limited so they can do everything with excellence.They are famous for their breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. I believe it is the best in all of Southern Indiana and could well win state honors. They also have exceptional seafood & fish like catfish, cod, oysters and shrimp, all done to perfection. There's a full liquor bar and beer & wine is available. Service is super fast, ask for Joe!

We come to New Albany several times a year for dog shows. We stay in Georgetown to avoid excess traffic. Last night decided to find a new restaurant and came to Couvant. Great find! Delicious Cod, large portions, (wife had plate, I had sandwich). Outstanding coleslaw and very reasonable prices during this time of inflation. We'll be back!

Excellent place to visit! Great food and very friendly service. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich and let me tell you! Perfect!!! Everything made to order even the fries that where salted to perfection I just couldn't get over the size of the sandwich lol best bang for your buck and taste buds for $12. My wife git the cob basket which was equally delicious!
