Service is at the top of the list of reasons why I go to restaurants. Food of course is a factor also but if service is bad I won't go regardless. The food here was ok but the service was excellent. I ended up sending my steak back because I asked for it to be medium but it came well done. They did it again but it was then too salty and still tough. It was prime rib so I was expecting it to be tender. The server was so gracious about it. I didn't ask for it to be taken off the check but she did it on her own. For that I was grateful. For that I would also return a second time to give the place another chance.

This place has steadily gone down hill the last couple of years dine in isn't bad but carryout has gotten something wrong or forgotten things every single time over the last 2 years.

The best review that I can give this place on my several visits is you won't be overly disappointed and you are not likely to be excited about great food or great service.

Hit or miss and lukewarm overall. You likely won't remember your visit, good or bad.

I can't specifically say anything bad, but I also can't specifically say anything good. They will have something you'll likely want, but when you get it, you'll neither be pleased nor disappointed.

For my family, a trip to Denny's, IHOP, or Bob Evans would be more memorable and pleasing.

If you can accept this expectation, you'll get this experience.

For a restaurant, I expect food to be memorable, but it won't be here.

Normally we love Tumbleweed food. My husband and I went to the one in Highlander Point by Greenville,IN on Wednesday the 28th of August anticipating the normally good food. I ordered chicken fajita and he ordered a sirloin. The waitress was super nice, super efficient, but my chicken was so tough that I couldn't cut it and was crunchy when I chewed it. A very strange texture. My husband's sirloin was terribly tough. He was only able to eat half of it. The waitress was kind enough not to charge us for the fajita which was nice and which we didn't expect. However, it was a real disappointment because we've had the same food there and other tumbleweeds and it's always been tender and juicy. Maybe just a bad day with the kitchen or the products.

I have visited this location over the years. We have never had a negative experience. There may be times when the service was slower than normal, but overall, we have had good experiences. The food is always good and prepared correctly. It's nice to have a restaurant close to the Knobs without having to drive to New Albany. I've ordered takeout several times, and it has always gone smoothly. The times that my order wasn't right, they have always fixed the problem in a timely manner. Overall you can't go wrong having a meal here!

Peaceful and relaxing

Did a delivery order and they left off toppings and gave us the wrong kind of meat in one order. Tasted good but not top notch, especially for the price.

There was NO host or hostess stood at the door for longer then we should have,the floor was dirty table sitting there unbus thats why they had so many flies,when the food arrived at our table look as a blind person but it together it was sloppy all over the plate had no manager bar tender was acting as manager

I have been getting lunch specials (to go) at Tumbleweed for years. Today, I went to pick up a taco salad and they told me that the lunch specials were only for dine in guests only. They said corporate was coming down on them about selling lunch specials on carry out. The taco salad lunch special is $8.55 with tax. They wanted to charge me $12 and something. Why allow carry-outs at all then? I will just go to El Nopal.
