I had never heard of this place for starters! How we discovered it last evening was I put a Google search in top restaurants in downtown Fort Wayne and this popped up as one of them so for my birthday this year I figured we would try it. I am so glad we did. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was just perfect, pricing was reasonable. We had cocktails, brussel sprouts as an appetizer. Our entrees included an amazingly stocked salad bar “yum” Wild Mushroom Risotto, Bolognese Pasta,Proof Burger (which is a must) and lastly steak which both steak & burger were cooked to perfection! Desert since it was my birthday they brought out carrot cake “yum” Service was excellent! We stayed after for the comedy show & some more cocktails. Great time and great laughs (comedy tickets were $13 a person so worth a great night of fun) again this place needs to do much better advertisement because it is so WORTH the food and the entertainment. For us we didn’t know it even existed until looking for places downtown so how many others don’t know about this place? When we were there last evening the dinning room was full table wise so that says a lot about the quality of food. So worth it!
Vegetarian options: They have a great salad bar, salads, impossible burger loaded however you’d like, wild mushroom risotto (appetizers) i’m sure much more, but these were ones that specifically stuck out in my head. For myself, I’m vegetarian and these were ones that I looked at, but with the wild mushroom risotto and it was worth every bite!
Dietary restrictions: vegetarian vegan options along with gluten-free, but I’m sure again the kitchen would be willing to accommodate according to your dietary needs just asked your server
Parking: Parking lot behind the building or you can pull up to the building and park parallel along the street on Calhoun, easy access
Kid-friendliness: Lots of options for kids
Wheelchair accessibility: They have tables and everything is on a level floor so you could easily wheel in a wheelchair.

I had accidentally reviewed this place instead of another place we went the night before. Proof was ridiculously good, and the food was served without much wait. While the prices are a little high, but the quality is worth the little splurge. Our server was great, all the dishes went to the right person, and everything was made as ordered. Everyone in our group really enjoyed the food and experience.

Proof feels as warm and inviting as CS3 always did, but in a grown up and slightly more sophisticated way. Service was perfect; just enough attention without being disruptive. The food was spectacular. I came with the promise of finding the best burger in town, and I was not disappointed. Others in my party enjoyed a great salad bar (something of a rarity these days) and one of the daily specials, a delicious bolognese. Perhaps the most exceptional part of this visit is the menu pricing. For food of this quality, I have not seen prices so low in several years.
Parking: There is a huge parking lot behind the building.
Kid-friendliness: Not only is Proof kid friendly, but the entire staff was great with our curious 2 year-old.

I have been coming since they opened. Love seeing the changes. I very much enjoy the weekly food and drink specials. My go to is the Proof Burger , I especially like the egg on top. It will certainly fill you up. Although I have missed the last few Sunday brunches I have loved the ones I was able to make. Hard to decide what to get since it all sounds good.

Our first visit to Proof was wonderful. The food and drink were excellent from start to finish. I had the whipped feta, steak medallions, and the Pandon Pandon to drink. The steak was probably one of the top 10 entrees I've ever had. Everything was just delicious.

Great selection of beer and a full alcohol bar is only the start of this place. It's a higher class food experience. We had the salmon which comes with great brussel sprouts. Loved it. The outdoor patio is also a great place to eat or listen to music. You can come here and just fill up on the appetizers too. It's right across from the oyster bar if you want to know how to get there on Calhoun Street.
