Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

I usually do not review chains but had to give a special call out on a lunch item I had when we stopped in here with our grandchildren. I had the chicken pot pie, that was very good but must say that the red beans and rice side I had knocked my socks off. I have had that dish in some of the best places in New Orleans and cannot recall enjoying them more than the plate I had here. I would suggest that they make the plate an entree instead of a side, it is that good.

Stopped by for a solo bite after my hygienist at Afdent recommended it (lucky timing, 5 mins away!). The honey-butter croissant was heavenly. I ordered the pot pie—hearty, but felt a bit standard. Service was friendly, though the dining area felt a tad dated.

Cheddars is always a great choice for anyone who wants to enjoy an upscale experience for an affordable price. I love that they still serve comfort foods like chicken pot pie.

I recently had my gallbladder removed and cannot take a lot of fat or butter. I have eaten at this Cheddar's before. I informed the waitress that I wanted the salmon without being cooked with oil or butter. She talked to her manager. He personally came out and tried to comfort me with my dietary need. He cooked my food personally and made sure that there was no butter or oil on my salmon. Their salmon here is amazing. They are very courteous and want to assure that your food is good for you. This restaurant is an A+ in my book I have eaten at this restaurant before and enjoyed my food a lot

Our server was good. My ribeye steak tasted horrible in my opininion. I normally am skeptical about ordering a ribeye from anywhere but the waitress recommended it.

Everything was wonderful from arrival until departure. Hostess and server was great. I don't remember my server's name ( wears glasses and was super attentive)....he was just awesome!!!

Great location. The food is priced very well and it was cooked very fast! There was no wait time which was nice and they even have gluten free options for those who need it. The menu is large and consists of many things. Food is fresh and the service is great! I would definitely come back to Cheddars!

1st time here - great experience! Food was delivered timely, hot, delicious, and didn't break the bank. Very nice atmosphere. They have amazing huge paddle fans that are gorgeous!

The only good thing about this visit is the manager helped us replace our cold food, I would have told my waiter but he never was around! My meat was way over seasoned and my baked potato was so cold it wouldn’t melt the butter. My wife chicken was extremely over seasoned and dry. Waited over 10 minutes for refills. This would have been okay if the place had more that 3 tablespoons so it was dead. Very disappointed, probably not going to come back for a while, if at all. This was a thumbs down experience.
Update: I didn’t want to blindside the manager so I told him about the review and he blew up at me, told me he would have fixed the whole issue. He was rude, arrogant and very defensive, even though he kinda tried to help us, he didn’t understand what the issue was. I explained that him doing the job of the server, should have let him know that we was having issues, he didn’t even defend his wait staff, it was all about him! He said that cold food is going to be served later in the evening, I guess if we want warm food we need to go before supper time! This is by far the worst experience I have ever had.
