A true piece of Americana, and a landmark in Fort Wayne. They have the very best over-easy eggs in the area, a d my kids love the "Garbage" plate. As they say "Feeding the world, 16 at a time."

We work downtown and Cindy’s is one of our weekly go-to eateries. Food is great, staff is excellent. Plus, we love the hometown feel. We love to support local, small business! Thanks bunches!

Cindy’s Diner in Fort Wayne is the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time, in the best way possible. The diner might seem modest from the outside, but once you step inside, it’s like walking into a cozy, old-school eatery where every seat feels like the best seat in the house. The space is intimate, with classic diner stools at the counter that seem to welcome everyone like family. Though it’s small, the warmth and charm make it feel expansive, and the food is where it truly shines. We started with the special breakfast, and it was everything we hoped for. The over-easy eggs were cooked to perfection—creamy, with the yolk running just enough to soak into the soft, toasted bread. The slice of ham had a beautiful salty crispness on the edges, and it was juicy in the center, adding the perfect savory touch. The potatoes? Golden, slightly crispy on the outside, and fluffy inside, seasoned just enough to make every bite satisfying but never overwhelming. It felt like the quintessential diner breakfast, simple but made with care. Then, we ordered the French toast, which truly felt like a morning hug on a plate. The bread was thick, with a slight crispness on the outside and soft, custard-like on the inside. Each bite melted in your mouth, the sweetness perfectly balanced. The warm syrup pooled on top, infusing each forkful with a comforting sweetness that wasn’t too sugary but just right. Paired with a pat of butter melting slowly over the toast, it was the ideal way to start the day, both nostalgic and indulgent. Cindy’s may be small, but it leaves a big impression, offering hearty, delicious meals that bring a sense of home. It’s a place you’ll want to return to, not just for the food, but for the feeling it gives you.

What a treat! Cindy's has a tiny footprint but a giant welcome for the hungry. A downtown Fort Wayne tradition, this quirky little diner features a classic diner menu, a collection of coffee cups and hard hats donated by customers, large portions at a great price, friendly staff (the owner works the grill!), acceptable coffee, a great selection of breakfast breads, perfectly cooked bacon (my meal came with four slices crisped exactly as I asked for it - rare on two counts these days), and both Frank's and Tabasco sauce (they might have Cholula... didn't ask). I had perfectly cooked scrambled eggs, but if you want to try a "gut buster," get Cindy's signature "garbage" ... a hash of eggs, potatoes, ham, onion, and anything else you might want thrown in. There is patio seating for the claustrophobic, but it you like meeting people in an intimte, classically American setting, Cindy's is a "Must do" for a visit to Fort Wayne.

A absolute staple of our community! Always greater with a smile and some good conversation! You can’t go wrong with a plate of garbage and raisin bread! Also, a piece of the Banaba Cream Pie for the hubby!

Absolutely love coming for the pancakes!! I live nearby so either eat outside or take it back home because the small diner does make me anxious. The workers are polite and seem talkative with the regulars!
