slow kitchen...lackluster food...poor and inattentive service....overall beyond disappointing AND not the first time

We stopped yesterday to use a complimentary card sent to us for a different date that the food was cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen 3 times! Finally I asked for it to be boxed because the person I was having dinner with was way finished with her meal. I went in and asked for the card to be scanned before to make sure it worked and to see if there were any limits as my coupon said any 2 meals, 2 desserts and two drinks. They said it couldn’t be checked before using so I ordered exactly what the coupon said I could order. I get to the checkout and they said I owed another $23 as there was a limit. And I gave the waitress a $10 tip so my “” Complimentary card for 2 free meals with dessert and drinks was clearly NOT complimentary “”!! In total my only out $ should have been the tip! Not to mention that my food was cold AGAIN and we waited a full hour after ordering to get our food. The waitress explained that the kitchen was way behind but still! I sent a email about my experience yesterday and no reply!!

We ordered out and it was great except we ALWAYS have to ask for tartar sauce when we get catfish dinner. You’d think tartar sauce would come with any “fish”…we use to assume it did; now we ask for it

Went in on a Sunday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately. Had a sweet server who took our order fairly soon after sitting down. Brought our drinks and meals with no long wait. Our server was also taking care of two big groups as well as us so even though she didn't get back for drink refills - she apologized and gave us drinks to go. The food was really good. Noticed the helpings seemed a big smaller but then that's practically the case everywhere. So all in all a good experience. Would go back to this Cracker Barrel.

We love to eat at this Restaurant, they are OK for Breakfast, 3 times this month we went for Dinner, every time we had to wait for more than 45 mins for our dinner to come out, this last time the food also came out luke warm and the steak was tough

Food taste amazing but came out lukewarm. Husband's fried chicken was berry greasy and overdone.
