Delicious food, amazing staff! Their Red Salsa is one of kind!

We went back to el Azteca after 2 years of not going as we did not care for all the changes that were made after the new owners bought them. After we heard they sold to someone else and that the food was back to the old el Azteca, we waited a few months before we went in. The food was on point and the margaritas were phenomenal. The food is back to the original el Azteca recipes, especially the salsa, beans and rice. We spoke to the GM Juan and he is a wonderful guy and is definitely there for the customers. Our favorite waitress Kim is still there and was amazing as always! Great food, margaritas and staff! We will be back soon as this will now be a regular spot for us 😊

Our first time back to El Azteca for sometime and the food was amazing! It was clean, updated and the service was great. So happy that El Azteca is back and even better than before.

I've been going here for 40 years, an amazing place up until a couple of years ago, went tonight and it was perfect again! thank you for bringing back the original food! I am so happy and it was so good! 💜💜💜

My husband and I came here to have dinner Saturday night 9/28/24. We were seated in the bar area. Waitress took our drink order, which we each wanted water and my husband wanted a Long Island. She walked away. Maybe ten mins later a young girl brought one water and knew nothing about my husband’s drinks. We never saw the waitress put the drink order in as we were sitting in front of the bar and watched the bartender do various other things. The waitress concentrated on the other 3 tables around us as they appeared to be her “regulars” as we were ignored. We considered leaving since it was obvious to us that the other patrons mattered more to her. We had not been here before and chose to stick it out. Waited close to 30 mins before she took our food order. When we finally did get our food she claimed the plates were hot and to be careful. My plate and my food was not hot. My food had good taste but would had been much more enjoyable if it was not barely warm. My husband’s enchiladas was hot but he said it tasted horrible. The waitress did comp my husband’s meal which was nice of her. We didn’t want anything remade as we did not want to stay longer than what we already were there for, just to continue to be ignored. Maybe if we sat in the back of the restaurant maybe service would have been better. I have never been to a restaurant where someone stands basically with their back to you avoiding eye contact and keeps walking by you and ignoring you not trying to take an order. Pitiful. Tip would have been better, sorry.

Will NOT ever eat or suggest this restaurant to anyone!!! We waited over an hour for our food with no reason given for the delay when we asked after a half hour.

Got carryout. I love their chicken almendra chimi! Haven't found anything like it elsewhere. Everything I've had there has been excellent.

August 8th VISIT
Restaurant was not busy. Water consistency salsa...1 hr for food...Cold food (Sent back to kitchen) nasty, very small portions. Pork burrito dinner looked like something off the kids menu...We were the only table seated in the bar area. 4 to 5 people sitting at the bar...I noticed 2 other tables in the other seating areas.. When the waiter came back to the table 20 minutes after we ordered to ask my husband what was it that he ordered again, I knew at that moment he forgot to punch in our tables order...

My favorite mexican restaurant hands down...always has been for years. Just tried the mexican pizza...yum! I always get the bl bean soup...best ever. And it's a tequila bar!! ?
