If you aren't Mexican, expect to check everything twice and be prepared for orders after yours to be ready before yours, and make sure to check your receipt. The service is horrible, and it's not due to a language barrier. Skip El Paraiso and drive about 10 minutes longer to El Taquero. El Paraiso just fits the south side stereotype that so many of us have tried to get rid of. Can't get rid of the negative stereotypes with places like El Paraiso.??
Today I was very disappointed in the El Paraíso store, they sold me almost rotten chicken, they should be ashamed to sell that since it affects the health of consumers, from today I don't think I will be able to buy meat in that place. I threw everything in the trash, and I didn't go to complain because they don't do anything anyway, they don't care.
Food was really good. I had steak tacos and beef nachos and everything was great. Their pico degio was awesome. But for a Mexican place I was very disappointed they don't have queso dip and don't have complimentary chips and salsa. Also my waitress was very slow and non attentive I had to get up and go to get my own things after waiting for her. Sad part was I could see her behind the counter playing on her phone and chatting with other employees. I'm afraid I won't...
