La Fogata Mexican Restaurant

The food was really good and I highly reccomend the la fogata fajitas. They gave us some free soup and their salsa tasted very fresh, and had a small kick I really enjoyed. And our server was very kind and kept checking in on our likings! Also the avocado was probably the freshest I've had at any resturant in a while.

David was fantastic. The food was delicious. We had the Thursday special and Barbacoa Enchiladas, chips with queso and salsa, and margaritas. Atmosphere was great.

Best authentic Mexican food in town, try the queso panela for starters. If you like some spice go with Bistek de lomo en chili de arbol. Fan freaking tastic

Amongst the many great Mexican restaurants in Fort Wayne, La Fogata stands tall. It is quite possibly the restaurant I frequent most. It's affordable, authentic and delightful food is without equal. Personally, I opt for the burritos, but the huevos righteous as hell too. The staff are also wonderful: agile, efficient, and always personable. Plus the atmosphere is reminiscent of a cantina - and who doesn't like cantina? All in all, LA Fogata is absolutely awesome and you'd have to be mad to go another moment without tasting their delectable food.

They use high quality protein but skimp on the portions. Their “quesadillas” are basically 3 half filled taco tortillas.

not sure why they swapped their elote from on the Cobb and authentic, to canned corn. The quality is noticeably worse but the price stayed the same. Tastes nothing like an authentic elote at all it’s canned corn microwaved with sour cream in it.

Frijoles con chorizo seemed to lack any chorizo flavor.

Waiter forgot most of my order while the rest of the table ate.

They don’t allow mixing and matching of meats, and they won’t sell al a cart tacos which is overall poor service in my opinion as the food is already prepared they just want to charge you for more food than you want.

This went from something I’d suggest as a hidden gem to somewhere is avoid until they return the previous quality.

Tip options also start at 25% 30% and 35% which is insane. Do not support this business.

Very authentic cuisine. Carne Asada tacos are my favorite but, it's all good.

Came here for dinner with family
Didn't have what my husband wanted that was on their menu evidentally they were out. I order some chicken rolled taco things. They were hard to chew like rocks, canned chicken and Didn't come with my Pico as stated. My husband ended up getting a burrito as a 2nd choice that literally was 90% lettuce. Looked more like a wrap. And service was slow, dark interior
