If you're looking for authentic Mexican food this is NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. Michelle the food tasted better when your husband was cooking. Now he is behind the bar and the food just ant it. You should want your customers to tell you the truth about your food cause I was just informing you that the food is definitely different and someone that has patronized you over all these year wont be coming back. If you got a new cook TRAIN THEM PROPERLY for the next customers... Cause my family and I won't ever be back due to the most ghetto mentality and attitude when all you should have done was listened to what the customer had to say about the service and the noticeable changes no credit was expected just acknowledgement of falling short. Suggestion keep your underage employees out of the bar it's illegal in the state of Indiana

I would say that the service was great. Our server was attentive, but the food was OK. Maybe I built it up too much in my head. I hadn't been there in many years and was looking forward to what I remembered. What I encountered was chips that were super hard, the salsa had very little flavor. I Ordered the three beef and bean burrito dinner I was looking for burritos that were covered in cheese and I would say there was cheese ion about 3/4 of the burritos. The beans had good flavor, but the rice was Meh. My other complaint and it was partly our fault because we did not look at the cost of things. But my friend ordered two glasses of margaritas maybe 8 ounce glasses and they were $10 apiece. We also ordered a large cheese dip with hamburger... That cost about $16....lastly, the biggest shocker was my friend ordered fajita meat. She just wanted the meat.... the fajitas at La Margarita are $30. We were both flabbergasted. She has ordered just the fajita meat at several other Mexican restaurants and paid about 8- 9 dollars. So for about 6 ounces of fajita meat, a large cheese dip with hamburger and 2- 8 ounce glasses of margarita. Her bill came up to $70. Wow that is a lot.. our server could tell we were looking over the bill and she made the comment. Let me see what they charged you for the fajitas and informed us that oh well we can take 15% off if you don't want to take home the tortillas and the vegetables and she said yes please do that deduction 15% off of $30 is $4.50. I really do not believe that the maybe 6 ounces of meat was worth $25.50. Also as for the taste she said there was not a whole Lot of flavor. As for the ambience, we sat on the bar side and apparently they must close at 8 o'clock on a Saturday night because at about 815 they locked the front door and when we went to leave we had to ask them to unlock the door . That just didn't make me feel safe. Maybe they lock the door because they don't want anybody else to come in. I'm not sure. But I was just surprised that on a Friday night they would be closing that early. It wasn't like they were dead on the inside, there were several tables in there.

One of my all time favorites. I usually go with three carne asada tacos and a hand made margarita. Thanks Crystal ?

Margaritas were ok. Kind of funny aftertaste. Chips were decent. Salsa was good. Liked that the salsa came to the table in those pour out pitchers so you could just refill yourself. Taco was decent. Prices are pretty steep for what you get. Nothing special taste wise. Ambiance in the bar is ok for a Mexican restaurant. Did like the fact they are having a night for customers to bring their kids for Christmas gifts.

The food here is very good, the drinks are great (try a Long Island or a Cadillac Margarita), and the servers are wonderful (they greet me by name everytime I go)! The only thing that I would change is the salsa - they do smooth salsas with minimal lime and cilantro, while I prefer a thicker, more flavorful style (I mix all three flavors toether and add some salt & pepper to suit my taste). All around a great place!Kid-friendliness: The restaurant has two sides: a family side with TV's and an adult, sports bar-like side - something for everyone!
