Brews and food are always on point đđŒ
Service, food, and beer all fantastic! Live band just made it better.
I usually donât leave reviews but this place was terrible. Went to order drinks and the Waitress said that they didnât have anyone that knew how to change the co2 on the pop. I wanted soda in my drink and they had bottled pop behind the bar. She said they could use that to make my drink but I would have to buy the bottle. I said ok and my wife ordered a bottle of pop. A few minutes after my wife got her bottle of pop another waitress came by and wanted to smell my wifeâs pop to make sure that it didnât have alcohol in it because weâre not supposed to bring outside drinks in. We told he she got it from our waitress. Shortly after she was cussing out loud to herself about another customer doing something she didnât like. We were there 2 and a half hours to eat and I was able to only order 2 drinks the whole time because we only seen our waitress every 40 minutes. Wife ordered pizza with light sauce and it came out with twice the amount of sauce you would normally get on a pizza and was under cooked and crust was doughy. My grilled chicken and fries were cold.
I enjoyed a small flight of beers and an appetizer at Mad Anthony. It made a nice stop early in the afternoon, and the beers were pretty good. I mostly went with lighter beers in my flight, but I enjoyed them. I really liked the scooby snack basket, however. The seasoning of the potatoes and the creaminess of the dip make for a delicious appetizer. The staff was friendly, and the place was comfortable. Mad Anthony strikes me as an older brewery thatâs still managing to keep people coming around, and with good reason.
We got there at 4:30 and it took 30 minutes until our appetizer and (thankfully) kids food were brought out. We eventually had to ask for our food to go because it took so long. We didnât get our food until 6:15. They must have been understaffed, which I understand. The waitress was nice and apologetic which I appreciated. However, the food, once eaten at home, was not very good and they forgot some of our sides. Probably wonât be going back anytime soon. Only reason I gave this two stars instead of one was because our waitress was nice the whole time and comped one of our meals since the wait was so long.
We hadn't been to Mad Anthony's for dinner for a while, but we were glad we went tonight. Food and service were both great.
Came during lunch. Ordered at about 12:20. Got our food at 1:15. Was missing one entree. And one meal was made without the requested changes. Waited some more. Got the receipt. They overcharged us for something we never ordered. We did not even have a chance to eat in the restaurant. We took our food to go and left. And after all of that, the food was not even that great. Soggy and under seasoned. It was my first time here and I will never return. Waitstaff was kind but overwhelmed and inept.
Stopping through the area for lunch and stopped by Mad Anthonys. What a pleasant surprise! Several beers to choose from, although favoring lagers and ales. I highly recommend the Mango Tart, Big Boy stout, and Jonesing for Java coffee porter. Had the philly cheese steak and it was great. Service was prompt and polite, and plenty of parking. Will definitely be back!

Our wedding dinner from Shigs n Pit was absolutely amazing! They were prompt, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the entire catering process seamless. They went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and their willingness to help in every way did not go unnoticed. And the foodâwow! Everyone raved about it! The pork and chicken was moist, the green beans were delicious, and the green chili mac & cheese was a huge hit. We couldnât have asked for better service or better food. Highly recommend them for any event!
My husband and I have come here a few times. 2 out of three of the times the bartenders have been very rude. The time before last we had a good experience. It was a young waitress that was bartending that night (she only works one day a week). She was amazing I gave her a $20 tip for a $60 bill. However, the other two times were absolutely ridiculous. The bartenders were rude and gave a dirty looks. I asked for a menu and the bartender in a very rude tone said "I said to scan the QR code" I had to tell her I don't know the name of what it was that I got the last time I was there. However, I know where it is at on the menu. She rolled her eyes and walked away. When she came back she was even more rude and said next time scan the QR code the owner want it that way! Then went to another customer and was very nice and pleasant with them. They were on first name basis. I'm going to assume that's one of her regulars. But if she can be ever so nice to a regular, why can't she be nice to someone that she's never met before? And give them the same energy and the same service because when she greeted him she handed him a menu right away with a smile.
Anyways I saw this on Facebook. Maybe this will help your server figure out how to treat customers.
Face book post below.
Iâve been a server for a few years now, and Iâve seen it allâgood tippers, bad tippers, the ones who stack their plates like theyâre helping, and the ones who leave their tables looking like a tornado hit. But this one? This was new.
It was a slow Tuesday night, and I had a table of twoâa couple who seemed pleasant enough. I gave them my usual service: took their order with a smile, checked in once or twice, refilled their drinks, and brought the check.
When I came back to clear the table, I noticed they hadnât left a tip. Instead, scrawled on the receipt in big, bold letters were two words:
âDo better.â
I stared at it, dumbfounded. At first, I was pissed. Do better? I wasnât rude, I got their food out in time, and they ate every bite without a single complaint. What more did they want?
I vented to my coworkers in the back. âCan you believe this? No tip, just âdo better.â Who does that?â
Some agreed it was rude, others shrugged it off. But as the night went on, the words stuck with me. Do better.
Maybe it was just meant to be an insult, but what if it wasnât? What if it was a challenge?
I decided right thenâI was going to take the advice.
The next shift, I paid attention like never before. I greeted guests with extra enthusiasm. I learned the names of my regulars. I anticipated needs before they asked, kept drinks topped off, and made sure every dish was exactly how they wanted it. I even studied the menu more so I could make the best recommendations.
Days turned into weeks, and something surprising happenedâI started getting more tips. Bigger ones. Customers remembered me, requested my section, and left glowing reviews. Even my manager took notice and gave me better shifts.
One night, another couple came in, ordered dinner, and chatted with me throughout their meal. When they left, I grabbed the receipt, half-expecting the usual 15-20%. But this time, there was a note that read:
âBest service weâve had in a long time. Keep doing what youâre doing.â
And right below it? A 50% tip.
I smiled, tucking the receipt into my apron.
Whoever had written âDo betterâ that nightâIâll never know if they meant it as a dig or a push. But either way, I took it, ran with it, and I did better.
And it paid off.
Staff is very incompetent
I had the beef and blue sandwich and fries. My food was excellent.
Great Food, Great Service, Clean and Friendly
