The garage door and downtown vibes are really neat. But, overall I’m not really sure the Mexican food & drinks were above others in town. Our service was good. I’ll come back and try again.Update: April 2024: tried it again and the food was average, the service was great but the music was WAY TOO LOUD and it made it difficult to have a conversation. It was too windy or we would have eaten outside.

My son brought us here last night. The food and drinks were very good. Our waitress went above and beyond. One in our party had special dietary restrictions and they created something they could eat.Dietary restrictions: One in our party had dietary restrictions that prevented them from having onions and garlic. They created something that they could eat and enjoy.

We went for Saturday brunch and were greatly accommodated when we asked to sit outside (many young kids that make messes and want to run around) even though they initially weren't set up for it. Outstanding service and food that will keep us coming back.

My party of 6 originally had went to another restaurant and had a very bad experience, we went to Mercado and they treated us so well! Mercado knows how to handle high volume crowd with ease and the wait time for our food is easily just 10-15 minutes not 40 minutes like another restaurant down the street… thank you so much for taking care of us!

I was here about a week ago, I was a little disappointed with the carne asada fries, the fries had no flavor, there was no cheese?! Who doesn't put cheese on carne asada fries?? Also gave 1 small drop of sour cream, & like no other toppings, very upsetting for $16! Overpriced, asked for extra sour cream on side they forgot! But, I will say was a nice atmosphere, the lady kept refiling my water, & was a bit loud inside, not a lot to choose from in my opinion & overpriced. The Cali AF tacos were amazing & really good! 10/10 for the tacos! Not sure if I'd come back though.

Mercado's food is excellent. They have good service, and the restaurant's atmosphere is also lovely.Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options that are not the typical choices km Mexican restaurants. These are well put together.

Two words: Queso fundido. A piping hot cast iron skillet full of melty cheese and optional chorizo or street corn (the corn is crazy good) served with warm corn tortillas - what more could you ask for?! I'm normally a guacamole girl, but this appetizer rocked my world. Tacos are always a crowd favorite and the Chicano chicken is one of the best dishes in Fort Wayne in my opinion! Their seasonal blood orange margarita was great, but their mezcal based "Cholo" cocktail is still my favorite. Smoky and not overly sweet. I'd highly recommend making reservations on weekends because it fills up quickly!
