Nawa - Inspired Asian Cuisine & Cocktails

I’ve always enjoyed Nawa and stopped by for lunch today, but the service unfortunately fell short. The host seemed unwelcoming when we arrived and didn’t greet us warmly, which set a negative tone. Later, when we asked to move to another table after receiving our appetizers, no one offered to assist us in transferring our plates or drinks, even though the restaurant was quiet. The bartender who served us was nice and professional were pleasant, but overall the hospitality didn’t reflect the usual Nawa experience.

It was my first time visiting Nawa after hearing great things from my friend who loves this place, but unfortunately the experience wasn’t what I expected. The host was rude and unwelcoming — she looked upset the moment we walked in, which made us feel uncomfortable right away. When we asked to move to another table after getting our appetizers, no one offered to help us carry our plates or drinks, even though the restaurant was almost empty. Our bartender was very nice and professional, but the poor attitude from the host really ruined the first impression. I hope management takes this seriously because the restaurant itself has a lot of potential.

Worst Pad Thai I ever had, too sweet and no flavors. Service was good but food was below average. 2 shrimps only on tempura platter that costs 14. Left everything after ordering...

You walk in and it has a nice atmosphere. We ordered a couple of drinks, they were good. We ordered two appetizers and we could have done without. So the main entrees… my hubby ordered Chilean sea bass with fried rice and salad comes with it. It wasn’t bad. I got the Pad Thai me up…. Kind of sweet and blandddddddd. I couldn’t taste any Asian flavors in any of it. Wont be coming again.

$13 for the curry flight. 3 curries in 2oz cups. Two only half filled. Either someone's drinking up the curry, or this is one heck of a ripoff.

I am writing this review as an avid regular who eats at Nawa frequently. Myself and a few friends love this restaurant and it has been a staple place for a weeknight dinner for a few years now. I do want to convey a point of criticism however for some of the inconsistency’s we’ve been experiencing the last few months regarding how the chefs manage spice level on entrees.
Typically you get to choose your spice level (ranging from mild to Phuket hot). I typically fall within the medium range & that is a good level for me. The criticism I have to Nawa is the past few times we’ve ordered, it’s like a roulette game of what you’ll get. Sometimes it will taste like no spice was added, while other times it’s so spicy we physically can’t eat it.
This happened again, last night as we ordered drunken lo mein at medium. The spice level was so hot we ended up throwing it out it was uneditable & way spicy for us.

We love your food and the restaurant, however we please ask to better manage your measurements for spice level.

One of the worst Asian spots I've been to in my life. The food wasn't very good and it seemed to cater to people who haven't had real Southeast Asian cuisine. However, it is fine and good for it being in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The flavors of the fried rice and other dishes we ordered were just bland and non-existent. If you have a love for Southeast Asian cuisine and know what it should taste like, avoid this restaurant.
