Old Gas House Restaurant

Overall a good meal. However, the soup was only warm and not hot. The salmon was good but cooked well done so it was dry. We enjoyed our visit.

Great appetizers, especially the sprouts. Excellent food and value, steak, seafood and chicken all very good and all entrees come with two sides!

Food was exceptional, our server gave us great service. I think her name was Bianca. Highly recommend!

The grilled salmon was great, crusty on the outside. The bread was warm, tasty and crusty on the outside, moist and melt in your mouth on the inside!

Staff was welcoming and seated us even when we arrived earlier than our reservation. The service was outstanding and the food was incredible! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will return.

I have been going to this restaurant for years. Over the last 5 years there seems to have been a steady decline in both the food and service. I had two separate reservations on Saturday (one for myself and a friend... another for my daughter and her two friends attending semi formal) I had asked for the reservation for 2 to be in the bar. Upon arrival we were informed they would have to combine our reservations due to being overbooked. I wish they would have texted me beforehand as I would have simply dropped my daughter and friends off and I would have gone somewhere else. The hostesses were in oversized hoodies- VERY casual. Also, odd menu changes. No baked potato... German potatoes are NOT prepared the way they were ten years ago (and definitely not improved). No salad options offering grilled chicken. While I understand simplifying a menu, there are definitely basic options missing. For years we enjoyed coming here as a family due to the reasonable and good menu and the slightly more upscale feel (compared to Texas Roadhouse) Sad that is no longer the case!

Do NOT get the Heather's salad. Lettuce was wilted, avocado was gray and few pieces at best, cilantro lime dressing tasted like it was sour. Children's mac was old and microwaved. The salmon and cod were good. Ambiance is nice. We asked for a somewhat quiet area and were sat right by the kitchen. Overall it was ok.

Great lunch and dinner spot. Good prices.

If you can get a cozy booth in the back of the bar it will be fantastic. Main dining area was noisy. Excellent food, better than good service.

Wifey brought home her meal from a company outing and when we popped open the box with what was supposed to be a 32oz medium t bone. It was almost RAW! It was quite literally inedible. Since we were already home we just had to pick at the sides and couldn't have it remade or refunded at all. Total disappointment. The prices are ridiculous if they can't even cook a medium steak.

the steak was very well undercooked, mac n cheese was not even warm, the stuffed mushrooms we not stuffed. upset our stomachs and overall waste of money .

We'd eaten here on our last trip to Fort Wayne and enjoyed it, so we returned. And the steaks were very good. However, my wife can't eat sour cream and she asked the waiter (who claimed to be a 13-year employee) if the mashed potatoes included sour cream. He said that he would check and walked away. On his return, he confirmed that they do not put sour cream in the mashed potatoes. Food arrives and we begin eating. I notice that wife has only taken one small bite of the potatoes. She asks me to taste them and I do. I immediately know that they do, in fact, have sour cream. On confronting the waiter with that fact. He is incredulous. But later does return and admit that he was wrong about the sour cream. He then reaches across the table and removes the small cup of mashed potatoes from my wife's plate. Compensation was half off wife's steak. Guess I need to find a new steakhouse in Fort Wayne.

The atmosphere is amazing! I wish there were a variety of beers on tap other than cans and bottles. Food is okay, I wish there was more varieties of shareable
